This traffic report is brought to you by town and country, Pontiac, Nissan, Suzuki, the home of Mr. Nobody. Hi, Sandra. Good Tuesday morning, everybody. And we have an early morning problem along I-95, northbound at the Howard County Prince George's County line. Tractor trailer carrying paint was on fire. They now have the fire out, but there is paint on the roadway, paint down on the creek and a lot of activity going on at the scene. Traffic northbound from the capital beltway building up towards 216. Watch out for that southbound and maybe a little rubbernecking. Now, even though all the lanes are open, you'll have to watch your speed through that area. Looks like we're underway in good shape and that around the county may still have some of the traffic lights out, though, along that Ritchie Highway corridor into and out of Severna Park and around early heights. So just a word of caution there. Beltway traffic is clear and we are underway in good shape in both the tunnels. No problems coming in to downtown on 395 Sandra. Good morning, Marty. Welcome back. Sandra thank you. It's now 608 house traffic moving this Tuesday morning. Let's find out by asking chuck Whitaker from the traffic team. Good morning, Chuck. Hi, Sandra. Good Tuesday. Everybody will see some early problems on 95 as you work your way southbound this morning right around that paint spill and a tractor trailer that was on fire on 95 southbound between 216 and 198. Looks like we're going to be losing maybe the two right lanes at the scene. So traffic down below 175 and down below Route 32, you'll start to see a slight rolling back up through the area. Two lanes will be maintained to the left hand side, but it's probably going to give us a little back up through the area. So later on, we might suggest Route 29 as a good detour route. The northbound delays coming up from the capital Beltway should be minimal because all lanes are open there. We don't see any early problems at the harbor. Tunnels are inbound along 95 coming into the city. Beltway traffic is clear this morning. So far, no problems along the outer loop. Back to you, Sandra. Thank you, Chuck. I personally, I can't. But you are right. All right, all right. All right. Okay. They say you got to do your own hair. You're going to have a pro come in before you go with her. So nobody was going to say anything with this hairstylist guy named Jim Leone is in London sitting here saying, well, I watched Miss America, so, you know, what have they come at this guy? You know, he's looking for a little shekel here from his work. He wants that salon. He has to you know, he's already looking to raise the prices on all the beauty products. It's just if I did miss America's hair, it gets kind of silly because if you've got to walk down there with a bathing suit on and a crown and all this stuff, you ought to have a little help from a friend. I mean, if you're going to go and do something casual, that's one thing. But if you're going to do all of that, what, it's just so unnatural, then you should be able to get a little help from a friend. All right. I just think the whole thing is kind of so you to have Mr. Z come in and then. No problem. Okay. Do I need to say anything about that any further? No, no, no. 13. Come on, Zeke. Do me. All right. Okay. Well, we got a whole bunch of talk about that. You know what it did? It does not. It's so hard to just be innocent. You know what I'm talking about. It's 614, for crying out loud. I'm so. Well, okay. All right. What do you think we've already done? Baseball Don't know anymore. I'm having an out-of-body experience. Hundreds of helmeted riot police have surrounded the parliament building and grounds. Special interior ministry groups armed with assault rifles have been seen among the police units. It's not clear if they're planning to attack the complex. The Interior ministry says the hard liners in the parliament are becoming increasingly desperate and have ignored orders to surrender their guns. The action comes a day after Russian President Boris Yeltsin ruled out any compromise with hardline lawmakers. And I'm sitting there on vacation. Michael Liska was there, and he says many of the tickets were sold for a campaign that isn't going to even happen. When they first started selling these $500 a head tickets. Nearly everybody thought Kurt Schmoke was running for governor. A week ago, he changed his mind. If you've just coughed up $500 for a man you thought might help you in Annapolis, and now it turns out he isn't going. You might feel a little let down. This kind of money isn't given simply out of good nature. This kind of money says to the candidate, When you get down there, I want you to remember me. There were about 800 who bought tickets to this fundraiser. And what they were buying wasn't. In fact, Schmoke is governor or Schmoke as mayor so much as simply Kurt Schmoke, the continuing political phenomenon. And the $500 invested on this particular fundraiser is likely to collect interest somewhere down the road. I'm Michael, Alaska. Michael at 625. May I have your vote, please? We have seminars, we have regular meetings, and we're dedicated to educating people about cats, health problems, behavior problems. Every month we have a meeting and talk about these things. I'm going I want to show the artwork on here if possible, because it's classic. Go ahead. Well, we wanted to make it entertaining to get people's attention because it is a very serious problem. It's the behavior of cats missing litter patterns. And there are different reasons why they do it. Yeah, thousands of animals are surrendered to the Humane Society and euthanized because they cannot find homes for them, because the owners surrender them because they're missing the cat pen and they they find it very right. We found him. So, Mr. Dorsey, video, if you please. Ladies and gentlemen, meet Lieutenant Commander Robert Ruff, an officer in the United States Navy Reserve. You may recall some time ago you met Jim Clifford, who sailed aboard a ship similar to this one featured in the movie Mr. Roberts. Later, Mr. Clifford, then with the American Legion, presented a bike to a young fellow who had just won a contest. Yeah, that was me. Yeah, it was me. Yep. It was back in 1952, and Robert was only six years old when the marketing Kelly Post donated three polar bears to the Baltimore Zoo. The contest was to name the Bears and Robert one. You had named three Bears, three Bears, Skipper, Dipper and Chipper. And I guess it was cute enough, you know, coming from a little kid that it won the prize. The prize was a big 28 inch Columbia bicycle, a lot of bike for a little kid. Robert said he had often watched your Baltimore Zoo on Channel 13 and was familiar with the two monkeys. Mr. Tom and Babs, the baboon. Now watching it on television, you can see that a baboon was very aggressive in a way at a, you know, kind of just rip them with a banana from Dr. Watson's hand. Then a body was watching on TV. No problem. But when we were in the audience, about ten feet away from that baboon, that's a little shaky. So the show is going on and we're going to get the prize at the end. And the old baboons going back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And, you know, my six year old kid starting to worry about this, this baboon.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136321/file/252894#t=4772.85,4875.81"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136321/file/252894/transcript/71111/annotation/48","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"But there was a chain. I never saw where the chain was attached, but well, it has been a long time since Robert spent his evenings in front of this old TV set. A man certainly looked comfortable riding down the street on that bicycle, if I do say so myself. No, a bicycle. But that was another very old. It's really cool because, I mean, we try to fun. That young fella does pretty well. Never know what you're going to find once you start looking. Just real quick. I've heard that baboon was so nasty. I mean, old long term. You remember that bamboo? You were here. I wasn't here when the show was on the air, but some of the other fellows have told me about it, and I'm very serious about that. Bad. If we ever one day we may have to talk about that one that Arthur Watson said. He had a nasty person out where he was the best dressed monkey on TV, but he was uneasy little. He didn't like wearing those little dresses. Let's talk about that. My fire department called me and Jack Marsh asked me if we could locate these these youngsters.
