We're live on City Line. Hi, I'm Jackie. And I'm Betty. Badly. Are we entering the Age of Aquarius? Yes. And what will that mean to you in terms of your next career move or your love life even? Will this be a time of prosperity for you or a period of turmoil? Ask our guest today on City Line, the Reverend Dr. Jerry Falwell. Reverend Love is a nationally recognized mystic and astrological counselor, and he'll be here to answer all of your questions. Changing barbershops into monitoring centers for high blood pressure and Montero. And today on News Gap, we'll talk about this revolutionary concept in health care maintenance. Hi, I'm Harold Anthony. And today I'll feature a jazz musician who you don't have to be a jazz fan to appreciate. Stanley Jordan will be coming at you on today's edition of the Entertainment Face. What's in your stars? Find out next. Live on City Line. Afternoon. And thank you for joining us again on City land. The wives are good today. They are. Maybe it's because of our guest, of course. And also it's a holiday. And enjoy your holiday, by the way, Do it safely. You're here today to talk about the stars and what the stars have in store for us. And with us is the Reverend Dr. Bertha Love of the New Age of Sending World Community Church. Dr. Love, thank you for being with us today. It's a pleasure. Tell me exactly how did you get into this? I mean, it's not a vocation. I don't think that most people think about when they're kids. You know, that would be an astrology. Wow. I was introduced to this ancient divine art. It many people think it's a science. It's really an art.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/105478/file/206171#t=99.7,229.21"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/105478/file/206171/transcript/48882/annotation/2","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Okay. Science deals with material things. Art deals with the spirit. And so it is really indeed spiritual. My father introduced me to it as a young boy. He advised me that I should marry a Virgo because I'm a Capricorn. Did you follow up on that? I really didn't. You know, are people get are people gifted? Do they develop it now? You said you were introduced to it, but is that because your father recognized the talent there or he just said that you should kind of train and refine the talent? Well, he'd had a unique experience in his youth having during the Depression years, traveling all over the country, and he came to rest on a farm, a dairy farm in Texas. And at this time, quite a number of people were passing from Underland fever. It seemed that the cows were eating something which poisoned their milk, and these people were the only ones. The dairy farmers, of course, who were able to produce milk for the community. People would come by the homes and they often homes in the hospitals and places like that. And he noticed that at certain times they would throw the milk out and they would milk the cows. At certain times they were watching the phases of the moon and he asked them what they were doing and they said they were following an ancient art. So it has to do with study, right? I've heard that all of us have the gift. It's just that some of us don't know how to develop it. Is that accurate? Oh, most definitely. We most of us are suffering from spiritual amnesia, where we're unaware of the source from whence we came. And that source, of course, is God. And everything within our world returns to his source.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/105478/file/206171#t=229.72,337.09"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/105478/file/206171/transcript/48882/annotation/3","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"You see, God doesn't throw away anything. We're in a refining process, but we need to know who we are. All the ancient wise men and prophets and patriarchs admonished us to man no less than our own self. Be true to this. Above all, to thine own self be true. Are we talking about reading the future? Are we talking about future potential? I mean, is this something that could happen or something that will happen? Well, it's a little of both. It's it's futuristic and it's primary. It's the now it's all predicated on knowing one's self, self knowledge so that you will know where you belong. You see, God creates it with divine order. So everything has a place in this scheme, and this is embodied in the ancient wisdom that the Greeks named astrology. As we first come into contact with astrology or the ancient wisdom, it's along the bank of the Nile between the Tigris and Euphrates River. You see in that portion of the world, which is known as the cradle of civilization, all mankind issues forth from that particular place on earth. So in actuality, what we know today as astrology is really the ancient wisdom, which is the laws compiled by our forefathers for over hundreds of thousands of years. You see love. We have not even told our audience about calling in, and they've done so already by calling for a one 1330. And we'd like to take a call from one of our viewers. Good morning. How are you? You're on live City Line. Hello? Hello. Okay, we're going again. We invite our viewers to come in to our conversation by calling us at 41, 13, 13. Dr. Love, tell us a little bit about you. He looks at the sun and the moon and the stars, and he says that they're good and let them be for the light of day and night and for days, months and seasons and years. Let them be four signs. That's what we predicate our religion on in our worship of God. Okay. And we're going to get into that and a lot of other things. We again invite you at home to call in at 481, 13, 13, and our audience is going to join in. And stay with us. We'll be right back. We're. And. Hello? Hello. Yes. I'd like to ask. Back live. And we're talking to the Reverend Dr. Jarrett, the love of the new age of sending World Community Church. And you were telling us just before that break about the church. Yes. Give us some more information briefly. Well, we we we follow the will of God as expressed in the forces of nature, and we're all elemental powers of nature. So theoretically, everything is a sign or has a signature or has a trademark and it has an identity. This is embodied in the ancient wisdom which the Greeks named astrology after having been under slavery under the black Egyptians for over 10,000 years. So actually our country and our political systems and our mores and our society is predicated on ancient Egyptian principles. Democracy is an Egyptian political theory, not a Greek. My birthday is 1150, and I want to know three things. Well, how romance and financially. Well, you're on the good. Really our species. But you had better follow your religious training. Please go ahead and talk directly to George. My name is Judy, and I was born August seven, 1944. I'd like to know what's the real plan? The father. What would I be good at? What career? What career would you be good in? Oh, that's a very interesting question. Your career is dramatic. It's the stage. It is the. Hollywood. You see Leo rules Hollywood. And one of our greatest actresses in this country is Elizabeth Taylor, who is a patsy. And by the way, Jackie and has Leo rising. So she has the LEO capabilities and characteristics. But her movie is in Scorpio, so hence her magnetism or her charisma or what we call sex appeal overwhelms you. And you don't realize that she's really a proficient and an expert actor, you see, as all Leos are. Thank you for the call because this is how we will get a lot more from Leo. But first, this gentleman here. I was born November 1st, 1956, and I want to know if I'll ever be recognized for the things I want to be recognized for beyond my time, if not in this life. Hence, research is your area and you indeed I believe, will be successful. Thank you. Thanks for the question. Let's take another call from Rome. You're in touch with the Reverend Dr. Dorothy Love. Your head, please. Please, go ahead. Would you please give me the forecast for my person born on October six, 1954, and I will leave. We did not get the second part of your question. Can you repeat that? I would make or leave start. It was an excellent made for Libra. Okay. Oh, well, that would be in accordance to your horoscope. You must get your horoscope done. You must contact me and have your horoscope cast so that you will know where your particular potential for love and romance and marital affairs lies. You see, But in general, is there a sign that's supposed to be well-suited for the Libra? Well, there are signs which are very compatible to them. Those are the five signs and their signs, which is Aries, Gemini, Libra, of course. But two signs of the same characters generally cancels one another out, so they get bored with one another. So then you have Sagittarius and you have Aquarius, which is the most fascinating and interesting sign of all, because they're kind of kooky. Sounds like mine, but I play for you. Okay. We go now. So you should at least choose a mate with whom you have something in common with, you see? Yes. Yes, ma'am. Do you see the end to sexism, racism and classism in the New Age? Oh, most definitely. Because the coming age of Aquarius is the age of equality. Everyone will have their place. We will all be judged by the contribution that we make to alleviating suffering humanity. Because Aquarius is the age of humanitarianism, you see, and it's humane. So our values are going to switch and change. Praise the Lord, because we're all into materiality now, you see. And we've got to get into spirituality. Nothing exists so truly and surely as the things that have felt but not seen, and that's what the ancient wisdom is about, that's what astrology is really about. It is not a superstition. David in the Bible says, Look to the heavens from whence come with your help. Your help comes from God who made heaven and earth. And indeed he did. And also in his Psalms and 19 Psalms, he says the heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament short its handiwork. You see? Yes. We've got a lot more interesting things to talk with Dr. Love about. So please stay with us. We'll be back right after these messages. Dr. Jennifer Love of the New Age Ascending World Community Church. Dr. Love as a Leo. I was always told that that in particular Pisces were not good for me, but I've always gotten along very well with Pisces. It's been one of my favorite songs. Yes, Yes. Why? Praise the Lord. That's Earth, which is equated with practicality and the salt of the earth and down to the earth. That's air, which is equated with intellect. You see the fire in inspires the water. In the water. So is the fire. So it's a natural thing, really. There's really no such thing as incompatibility. It's predicated on your understanding of self and God world. It's a lot more of how well you get to get along together as opposed to how poorly you might get along. That's right. Because it's really it's predicated on yourself understanding the element of relationships. The greatest element, the primary or the most paramount, important element of relationships is tolerance. We cannot change one another. Hence we ought to seek understanding of ourselves so that we can understand others and get along with others better. These are the principles of ascendancy which help us to rise up in the world as Christ ascended and rose. Okay. Now Beatty has asked about his Leo self. I want to ask about my Pisces self. Oh, my sister. It is tremendous because I think so, Yes. That's great. That is great. That's the attitude. Yes. You've got some Leo in you because you're out front and Leos like to be out front there on stage, you see. What do you see in terms of Pisces is the sign of spirituality. It's sensitivity. It's sacrifice. All your life, you've sacrificed yourself for the Enlightenment and the upliftment of others. This is the sign of Christ. It is the very last sign. It is the foundation of the human temple. It rules the feet. You see, each sign rules a portion of the physical anatomy. Pisces rules the feet. So everything comes to rest in the foundation or the feet. And when you think it bad, your whole thing is over. That's true. Yes. Let's bring our audience in again. Hi. You're in touch with Dr. Love. Hello? Yes. Please go ahead and talk directly to us. Hello. My birthday is May 11th, 1956, and I'm like, So what's in store for us? Romance is here. Career and romance. And career and romance. Well, today is my birthday in 1951. Yes. I have five questions for you. The first is about my own particular forecast for me. I'm up for a new job in a different job. And when it comes through the side in which you were born, it pulls fluid to your brain and it brings you up physiologically, psychologically and spiritually. So it's a very good time for Leos romantically. It's a good time for their prayers to be answered. And indeed, your career is going to go up, You are going to change jobs. You're in the process of changing jobs and it is good. Go along with it. You're going to acquire that job. So things are looking up for you. Just keep your faith. Okay. Yes. That's why you have a question. Dr. Love, I have a question about a chapter in the Bible that I think speaks a little bit about astrology. Genesis, the 49th chapter. Yes. Could you talk about it a little bit? It talks about the 12th tribes of Israel. Yes. Sons. Yes. I get one sister. Who was Donna the Virgo. Yes, yes, Yes, indeed. Well, the Bible is a source of truth. It's a source of authority. And it's all laid out and it's astrologically based. And this is why I'm here and this is why I was called, I believe, to resurrect the ancient Church of Ascendancy, which was on Atlantis 10,000 years ago. You see. So this is the Hebrews brought this Bible out of Egypt. Remember that the Hebrews did this. Power is glory in the Bible, you see. So these 12 tribes are the tribes which you belong to, and 12 equates to three. When you add from the Egyptian standpoint, from the left to the right, one in two is three. That's the trinity, the light of the world. That's the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, you see. So we test all things out on the number three, and this is based on the base of the pyramid, which we get our prediction from of the past, the present and the future. Okay. Give you a birth date one more time, Quickly. November 18th, 1954. Okay. All righty. Thank you. Thank you very kindly. You're under the sign of the eagle, and the witch flies out of sight. And that's where you're going. Out of sight. And it also represents the Phenix bird, which rises out of its own ashes. So defeat will never be your cup. And then it rules the scorpion who runs out of sight. So you're pretty invisible. You definitely will achieve your aims. Yet you are under a restrictive influence at this time, and it won't alleviate until November. You've been going through it for the last 18 months or so. It rules the Orient and they apparently have taken over the automobile industry. Thank you for that. Thank you very much. Let's see if we can get a quick read on some folks around the country. Jesse Jackson. He's a Libra also. And his future lies amongst the people. We are praying that he will continue to develop the Rainbow Coalition because we do need a third party for the minority needs. What about President Reagan? He is an Aquarian. He's God sent because he's cutting everything to the bone and throwing us back in on ourselves so that we can use our own resources and rise up with self-respect and confidence and be victorious and take our rightful place in the universal scheme of things. But indeed, she is a pure fine young lady and should be sympathized with and supported. Okay. The man of the hour in entertainment, Bill Cosby. Oh, my. He is a cancerian now, as you know, every geographical location or or place on earth is under some particular sign of the zodiac. There are 12 of them. The sign, which rules the cradle of civilization and the motherland is Africa. It's cancer. Bill Cosby is a cancerian. Topping today's news, cap, one of the highest ranking blacks in the Baltimore City school system has resigned. That post effective June 30th. Dr. Irving MacPhail, chief operating officer for the city schools, says he is stepping down from that post to become vice president and dean of academic affairs at Delaware State College. McPhail will become the second highest ranking executive officer under the president. The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights recently replaced most members in all but one chairmen of its state advisory committees. According to agency figures, minorities and women mostly lost their chairmanships to white males. Formerly, there were 31 male and 20 female chairmen in the 50 states.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/105478/file/206171#t=2265.33,2458.7"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/105478/file/206171/transcript/48882/annotation/18","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Of that number, 21 were blacks, 15 were whites, seven Hispanics and six Native Americans and two Asians. With D.C. committee reached shattering incomplete new figures for the 50 states now show 46 men have been selected as chairman and only four women. Of that number, 36 are whites, nine blacks, three Hispanics, and two Native Americans. For years, high blood pressure and hypertension has been a number one killer of black Americans. Reaching the black population to monitor medical progress has not been the easiest task in the world, especially when trying to reach black men. That's why an ambitious project known as Barbara is against high blood pressure has been launched here in the city. And joining me now to discuss this rather unique approach to managing this problem of high blood pressure is Dr. Wang Khalil of the Urban Cardiology Research Center, a sponsors of this project, along with the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Kang, thank you for joining us this afternoon. Give us some background information on exactly what this problem is. Well, the problem is certainly severe. It's the number one health problem in the in the black community. And we're talking about high blood pressure. And you may know that in 1978, we pioneered the concept of organizing churches as high blood pressure control centers. In that project, we trained over 500 church volunteers to take blood pressures and to monitor the the progress of their congregants so that they could get their blood pressure control. Now, that project was very successful and I understand has been patterned across the country. Now we're talking about using barbarism. And it's sort of ironic here because, you know, about 200 years ago, barbershops used to get into blood pressure control in terms of bleeding.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/105478/file/206171#t=2459.24,2565.56"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/105478/file/206171/transcript/48882/annotation/19","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"People always sort of taking a giant step backwards. Yes. And we'd like to think that's exactly what we're doing. And Barbara, is our barbershop service and ideal settings for the control of high blood pressure, especially in men, I believe, because men usually go to their barbers and wait maybe 15 minutes before it's their turn to sit in the chair. And when they sit in the chair, they actually, you know, they're propped up ready to get their blood pressure taken. And after talking about the ballgame a few minutes, men usually run out of things to talk about. So it becomes an ideal setting to get men to talk about high blood pressure and about their health in general. And we believe barbers can play a very important role in that. Okay. I was only joking when I said a giant step backwards. Maybe I should say a giant step backwards with a positive cause, because you will actually be training barbers to take their patrons and and take their blood pressure and records those records. Is that correct? That is that is exactly correct. For the past three weeks, we've been training a group of barbers down at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and we're actually training them to take blood pressures to educate their their clients and to follow up on those people who have been found with elevations to make sure these men get their blood pressure under control. Okay. I understand that Harry's Afro Hot on York Road is going to be one of the testing barber shops that you will be using so that when folks go there starting, when can they expect the men expect to get their blood pressure taken? That is correct. They will there they have been taught how to refer, how to follow up, and how to educate their patients about what to do about blood pressures depending on the the elevation. Dr. Wayne Khong It's an ambitious project which wish you much success and thank you for joining us this afternoon. Thank you very, very much. Okay. In other news, for the past seven days, it has been. Maryland. We got the South African Embassy. Hundreds turned out to show their support for ending apartheid in South Africa. Meanwhile, over on the campus of Princeton University, students there staged a protest demanding Princeton remove all of its financial interests from the apartheid nation. We get a report from ABC News. We found out it was a scene straight out of the sixties. A full throated rendition of We Shall Not be Moved with the guitar accompaniment that says we shall not be. They sat on the steps leading to old Nassau Hall, the heart of the university. They want Princeton to pull out of investments with companies doing business in South Africa. Their signs say apartheid is wrong. Knowing his morals, we shall not be distressed. We shall not be treated by already fessing up to the middle class. Then the arrests began. You know, Webster's Dictionary defines jazz as a type of American music derived from ragtime and blues and characterized by propulsive, syncopated rhythms, varying degrees of improvization and often deliberate distortion of pitch and cadence. Well, to one who has never heard jazz, you would think I was describing some sort of organized musical madness. Thank goodness we have Stanley Jordan to set the record straight. He can keep a bass solo running while he simultaneously constructs melodies that blend together in a perfect fit. And to add to this, he does this while employing an amazing new technique. He plays the guitar with all ten fingers on the neck of the instrument. Stanley is currently wowing crowds and critics alike with his impromptu musical style. And one one really doesn't have to go out on a limb to say that we are witnessing the birth of a true jazz great with his rendition of Michael Jackson's Lady in My Life. Stanley Jordan. That was Stanley Jordan with a lady in my life.
