They were friendly and professional and it didn't cost a thing. Thanks to CAS, our lives are finally under control. News with Denise Cope. Tonight at six. This is Eyewitness News. The Blizzard of 96 with Sally Porter. Richard chair and weather with Bob Turk. We. Good evening everybody. You are looking live at 41st Street in Hamden, where we already have another three inches the wins. Look at that stuff again. I tell you, Turk here earning your keep this year. I mean, you know, it's just when you thought it was safe to go out, you can see that mostly four wheel drive vehicles are the only vehicles that are able to move. Now, again, because you've got, what, three inches on top of the other stuff. And, you know, downtown they're towing cars that are disabled. Ours, Bob. Like, how can we get Bob? Bob's over here. You really is here, guys. Here. I'm here. Here. Come on over here. Thanks. We got a little thing to walk down there. Okay, here we go. Anyway. I'm sorry. Right. We've gotten about three inches in the Baltimore metro area. Another inch or two as possible. So by about 6 or 7 it should be out of here. And that will give us a total of maybe 4 to 5in, which is certainly not a blizzard, but certainly a major, major headache because we, you know, get all the streets nicely plowed, a lot of the major streets I but now we've got to deal with, this compacted problem where we're getting some ice and a lot of cars out today. We're driving around. Think everything was fine all of a sudden, within a couple of hours. That's a major. Before this weekend's storm, we would have looked at today's event as a major snow. That's true, but we're jaded now. What we have is three hours now, a special coverage again of the blizzard and related storm activities, including the three inches plus coming out now from now until 7:00. So we also have all the closings for tomorrow, the schools and cetera. So just kind of pull up and relax. And a little bit later we're not going anywhere. Tell you about my ride home with Sally and Michael. Illustrious memorable to say the least. But we have Eyewitness News reporters all over the place, including Dennis Edwards. Well, we will begin. He is with that camera, that furnished us with the opening live shot at 41st Street. Dennis. Yeah. Sound like this is what we're talking about out here. We got three major problems. See down here you've got this section down here where you got the ice and the hardest snow that you're getting right about now, falling on top of that. Basically it causes major problems. Now we can show you some video right about now how bad things are on the J-f. Well, we can't show you that, but we've got cars fishtailing all over the j-f right now and the city is is in such dire straits when it comes to this kind of weather that they're beginning now, the tow cars that are along snow emergency route. So if you got a car out there any way possible, get rid of it or the city will. But this is the kind of stuff we're talking about. Very slippery. You can see I've got on the bottom of my feet. Sally and Richard. I guess you might say something gripping on these, boots. But if you're not careful, you can just slide and start with cars weighing, oh, my goodness knows, zillions of pounds more than I do. I mean, you can imagine how if you're not very careful out here, you can slide all over the place and cause all kinds of problems. Sally. Richard. All right. I'll tell you that. I-70. Now, as you make your way in toward the Hartford Carey, I'd rather in toward Carroll County. I like if you don't know where I am right now toward Carroll County. We're looking at some pretty lame conditions right now. One good lane, getting by all the way in through Frederick County on that all westbound side. State police just told me if you go by single file should be all right. And this a single file, lane, but it wanders. Sometimes it goes to the left, sometimes it goes to the right. And that is the problem. They are reporting dry pavement to, snow packed. And that changes without warning. That's where my Sergeant Henry Pelletier of the Maryland State Police out in Frederick County. Otherwise, as for 95 northbound, we had five separate accidents between the Beltway and the Harford County line just about an hour ago. They're trying to wrap those up, but as soon as they do, another car spins out. And that's the problem up toward the northeast side. Also, watch your slow hour traffic now on 97 and 50 state police. They're reporting very slippery conditions with a couple vehicles spun out in that interchange there at 97 and route 50, accident activity on the outer loop of the Jones Falls Expressway. But right now, we are once again looking at, very slippery conditions. This is one of those wet snows and it's hard to get traction on. So please, please use caution as you're making your way out on the Beltway. Sally and Rich, that's the latest. All right, all right, now let's check with the state highway administration. They have a 2.5in of fresh snow. They were about 50% clear. Now they're forced to. They're outsourcing. We just want to let people know that, the primaries are open. But if you don't have front wheel drive, if you have to be outside, you have got to be in a four wheel drive. Can we do? All right. Listen. Drive carefully out there. Yeah. I just want to let people know that route 439, which is Old York Road and that Pennsylvania line is extremely dangerous. Please don't take it. Only one lane is getting by in a half hour. Pat, the airport was, they tried to open and they open for about an hour. Yeah, they opened it for like one flight. And what's the situation out there? Well, to the people here, it seemed like just one flight. The airport was able to open a little bit after 11:00, which was a good thing because they had an emergency, the pilot of a single engine Cessna radio, that he had icing on his wings and asked to make an emergency landing. He was able to do that officially. The airport opened around noon. Two hours later, it closed again. I'm going to show you some pictures of why this is what you can see from the observation deck inside the terminal. Looking outside, as you can tell, it's snow covered. You don't see a whole lot of people out there doing much of anything right now. The airport is closed until 6:00. The airport is closed until 6:00. People at this point are being advised to make phone calls to their airlines today to find out whether or not they're going to be getting out of here at all. And of course, the added frustration is you only have a certain limited amount of time to enjoy your vacation. I mean, every day that passes is one day less you're going to spend having fun. Well, if we don't get out tonight, we're going to seriously look into canceling our plans totally and going some other time because this is just getting too bad and it's limiting our trip already. It's very frustrating. We want to give another lady an opportunity to vent here, too. You were saying that you're you're concerned that the airlines aren't really doing as much as they could to be organized and handle this well. They should give the preference to Sunday cancellations, then Monday and so on. But they're not. You have to stand in line. You take your chances with someone that's just coming in to book a ticket. And the lines have been incredibly long. Yes. And then you book it and then it's canceled and you have to stand in line again. Our hill resembles, to a small extent, Lombard Street out in San Francisco. It's got two twisty curves. They're not as quite tight together as Lombard Street out in San Francisco, and it's a pretty good drop. And this hill has been trouble since Saturday night. Of course, when the snow started, we've been working on it like everybody else has been working on the streets, and we're not perfect yet. When one of our news vehicles is about to go down this hill, they call ahead on the radio and say, truck coming down. And everybody who was on the process of getting up gets out of the way. Same thing we call that. We talk about trucks coming up so we don't have a collision on TV Hill itself, because we figured the other stations might cover that, if you know what I mean. All right. Down at the bottom of the hill are working, living, breathing neighborhood called Woodbury. They have been dealing with a tremendous no problem and a lot of TV vehicles going back and forth in front of their houses. And they would like to keep their parking spaces from becoming our parking spaces to a certain extent. After all, they are in front of their houses. But there's another story down there as well. George Bauman visited at the bottom of Malden Avenue this afternoon, and he found one safe port in this storm. Our neighbors down the hill are just like everybody else trying to combat the weather. There's two of us in the small room here, and the other one holds like four. Of course, I get eight adults in there comfortably inside. How's it feel in there? It's pretty warm. It's quite warm. We got to get some blankets to put on the ground, but other than that, it holds the breeze off of you and the snow can't even tell it's snowing in here. What gave you the idea to do this, I guess. Well, it was so much snow. Had to do some work. I think they and my brother and my husband did it. And I think that they, had to keep, keep themselves occupied instead of staying in the house, going stir crazy. So that's what they did. I was worried about getting home tonight. What can you do about it? I'm bored. You know, boredom is a big time problem because boredom is a huge stressor. And so if we sit around telling ourselves how bad things are and continue to be bored, we just get worse and worse. All right, so what do you suggest? So what do you do? That's right. You do two basically two things. You find some productive things to do. Like like going at your cleaner. That's right. Cleaning out closets, maybe cooking a special meal, trying to be very creative with that. In that maybe your food supplies are getting a little lower.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998#t=1077.55,1162.63"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998/transcript/71245/annotation/14","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"So you get out the beans in the back of the shelf and do something you can be creative with. No, I'm not saying that in my four and a half year old kids that that's hard. But I think you have to try again to do creative stuff with the kids, get out some flour, get out some water and mush made of clay. Make stuff with it. Richard looks a little better. I'm just fascinated. I'm looking forward to getting home with Annabelle. I'm pulling. Out the beans. You know what? All right, you take some olive oil and you take some garlic and green pepper and onion. Throw in a hot dog or two. And there you go. Another thing that another friend of mine talked about. His daughter was asking her for some tips, and she says, this is a great time for couples to bond with or without the beef. You take out a lot of albums, look at vacations, and talk about memories that she's had a trip. Some things you've shared together? Yes. What do you do anything about now? I doubt it. You know, you were you were waiting for the 4:00 program to begin. You were just looking around the newsroom, and you were. She was asking me, have these people been here a long time? And you're picking up on the stress of people. And that's right. There's a I'm feeling any way a lot of kind of this going on around here. Already 4 to 5in. They may pick up another three inches of snow. Someone down south of east of Baltimore may end up with 7 or 8, even nine inches of snow out of this little system. Kind of impressive in the Baltimore area, generally around three inches, I expect another 1 to 2, so it may end up with about five inches. It's all said. Now let's take a look at the cloud cover this afternoon. Here's the Baltimore, Maryland area. You see these clouds moving through the area and rather quick pace. However they kind of slowed down the last really in the last hour or so. This system has kind of slowed down. You can see down to the south. It kind of breaks up out to our west, the edge of the system. So we do see an end to the precipitation, perhaps coming around 630, 7:00 tonight. Here's Baltimore, here's the band of snow down into portions of the Carolinas as well, continues to progress out to the east. And it's steady, steady pace. And it will eventually get out of here. So we do see some light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak. Let's take a look at the, what we expect our forecast to be for tonight. Then the snow will gradually taper off and there's some flurries, 3 to 5 inch, generally in the Baltimore area. What's happening out there? Yeah, well, we, we didn't anticipate this new storm that has come in. It looks like we're going to get 4 to 6in. So, we started at 4 a.m. this morning with our residential streets. We're pulling the crews off the residential streets now and putting them back onto the primary roads. Right now, because of the the traffic, we're having a difficult time. And until this rush hour traffic is over, it's going to be difficult to start dealing with these roads.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998#t=1525.75,1634.69"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998/transcript/71245/annotation/19","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"We're also, telling people in the North County, especially the Harford Zone, we're going to have a hard time in dealing with emergency situations there for the next hour or so. So we're asking people to stay home again. And it looks like now, based on this new storm, we're not going to be able to get into the residential streets that we haven't gotten to yet until about, 3 or 4:00 tomorrow afternoon. Hey, Dutch. I was at a fire, a four alarm, or in Baltimore City on East 20th Street, at, this afternoon, the firemen could not get their engines and trucks down the street, and it made fighting the fire very difficult. 25 people left homeless in East Baltimore. And I'm going to have a complete report on that coming up at five and six. So it really is. Those side streets are terrible. But you got to get to the main stop now again. Well that's how we have to keep it open for emergency situations. But so far we've been able to handle every emergency situation that we've had. One, situation in North County where we had a heart attack, but, we have one of the Humvees going up there, and, that's going to be able to help that gentleman that was was having some problems there. Police, fire or our snow truck operators. And the public has been great. I mean, a lot of community people have been working with each other. As we've said, we once we get to the residential, we can't deal with the driveways. They're going to have to dig their own driveways out. And, I think, I think this is going to help our, our county in the end. And a lot of people pull together and we'll be better for it. Help your reelection effort, too. Thanks. And tell you, if you got kind of a rush hour going on right now, they're doing as much as they can to plow the JF here in the city. They're moving their plows off of secondary roads like they are in Baltimore County, and putting them back onto the main roads. Same thing to be said for the state roads as well. They are taking off their plows from secondary roads and putting them on the main roads. They expect to get back to secondary roads a little later on, but a lot of cars are fishtailing along the j-f, and we're also told by city officials that they're beginning to tow cars that are stuck or parked along snow emergency route. So if you got a car out there, find some way to get that car off that snow emergency route. We got somebody here right out here in front of the Royal Farms on 41st Street, who has figured out a great way to get around. Come on over here. Dennis, thanks. I wanted to tell everybody that we heard from BMC today. You know we've done some stories about the Blizzard babies. Well and we've done stories way back when about the 24 hour policy. You know, most people who have babies and everything goes okay, they've got to get out of the hospital. And hospitals like BMC have visiting nurse programs. What? Guess what? How are these nurses going to get out to the homes to visit the Blizzard babies if they don't have four wheel drive? Exactly. There's a visit, right? So if you have a four wheel drive vehicle and you don't have to be anywhere in particular, call GMC and offer your services to get the visiting nurses to these Blizzard babies and they can continue that program. It's a necessity. So all right, keep that in mind. Do for your neighbor. That's one of the things that you can do with this time. It's one of the Ten Commandments. Love thy neighbor as thyself. Just talking to the folks up at AccuWeather. This is something that happens in a very rare occurrence. Literally, this thing exploded as soon as we went over the mountains. And it's just kind of stuck in from the Harrisburg, PA down toward Richmond in a band of heavy to moderate snow. And it's slowly now moving off to the east. It has just ended southwest D.C. so there's an end to it about, let's say 70 miles away. And the rate it's moving, it's going to give us another two hours or so of some moderate snow. So some areas could pick up another inch or two between now and 6 or 7. So what do we have now. Have 3 or 4 or five inches. And you might top off as much as seven inches in the Baltimore metro area. Certainly. Something that we just did not see yesterday wasn't I mean, was there's no indication that this thing would do what it has done, but it has. So we're I guess we're going to have to live with it. You folks to our south and east eastern. Sure. Clearing later on, a low of cold, 17 to 22. The winds are still picking up much later on tonight as well. In fact, tomorrow, I'm just going to call a windy day with some drifting of the snow tomorrow because whatever snow is out there for five, six, seven inches with the winds up to 30 miles an hour, at times it will be blowing and drifting snow. It's going to be a very kind of a miserable day tomorrow. Day 28 to 35 a low tomorrow night with clearing skies, clear skies and light winds. All the snow cover means a lot of cold temperatures on the ground. Yeah.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998#t=2343.84,2426.76"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998/transcript/71245/annotation/28","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"All right, forget it. You know, Michael. What? You were very nice to take me home last night and to take Sally home. But we had a little trouble on the way, didn't we? Yes we did. Yes we did. Is that true? We were. We were doing great on the Jones Falls expression was. The problem was we were done. We're locked up. And so it's a for my first year I got a little overconfident. So I'm all right on a little fast. And then we we hit the exit and it started to fishtail. And the logs in the back started bouncing around where Sally was sitting. You didn't have your seatbelt buckle, which is against the law. My mother was right here. That was my mother wants to put it on. But what is it now? But what did I say and how was it handled? In all seriousness. You you, immediately went into cardiac arrest. Now, don't lie to the folks, Mike. Oh, Richard. Richard was okay. He. He kept saying I got it. Michael! Help me. No, I said I have got it. Please don't worry. I've got this thing and we got his back. Yeah. We never hit either side. Right. And I was thinking, you know, the next day the story would be, you know, Michael Lesser and two other people were in and out. You would be thinking that. But there's a lesson in all this. And the lesson is you, you know, you get overconfident, you think, you know, you hit a patch where it's pretty good and you take it for granted that it's going to stay that way. And I know that people are out there and they're digging two feet of snow out. And this is not what's on their mind, but it's kind of interesting. The state legislature opens tomorrow, and they're getting reports from various legislators around the state that they can't get out of their driveways. And even if they do, there are people in Annapolis who can't get out of theirs. The streets in Annapolis very often are small. They're having trouble plowing them. And there is some talk that they could not that they might not get a quorum. How will you survive if the legislature does? I know I am just who could who could do without that legislation? Well, closing the polls, opening day was postponed. I don't think so. If they wiped out the 90 the whole 90 days, I don't know if you know the difference. Oh, no, that's certainly that's Michael's opinion and not the opinion of the station. It's funny. Oh, and on that note, we're going to go to a commercial. We'll be right back. That's kind of what. When we were younger, they said that man would walk on the moon. I still can't believe it. They said we talk on portable phones. Now everybody has. What? They said that when we retired, our health care would be taken care of. But they didn't tell us everything. When Jack went into the hospital last year, Medicare helped a lot. But I still had my hands full. I mean, there was so many forms and deductibles. The day I got out, we decided we needed something more, and we found it. Advantage 65 from Chesapeake Health Plan. And now back to the Blizzard of 1996 with Richard Sharp, Sally Porter and Bob Turk. Marty Bass. I have some tidbits. Tidbits to share as you're watching traffic on the 41st Street Bridge. Number one, the Senator Theater is open. Good idea. Barbara Collins Sense and Sensibility. A movie with Emma Thompson. There's one person in the theater right now and that is Tom Keefe. All right. Also, blockbuster says if you're due to get videos back today, don't sweat. They'll give you credit. They won't charge you for that. And you should know this. Yes, that. On Saturday, the Giant Food Store Corporation had the largest day, the biggest money day in its history ever. More than Christmas, more than any day. The giant sold more toilet paper because I bought most of it. Orange juice, all those things, the milks and so forth. What a great day. That's because of the blizzard coming, so people were pretty smart about that. One other thing to keep in mind, if you can get out and you're looking for stuff to do, is I understand that most area health clubs are open, and if you're lucky enough to belong to one, it's one way to burn off steam because a lot of people are feeling, you know, you're playing with cash and you are hurting and you're like, you really hurt my hand. Well, that's because I lifted this morning.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998#t=2612.18,2704.26"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998/transcript/71245/annotation/31","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"I understand don't Scotsman working out to having trackside to my, well working my way through the drip. Something you might be sweating out if your home is the fact that your oil or gas burner isn't putting out the heat that used to, and you're wondering why. And in my hand, maybe one of the reasons we have Howard Howard Snyder with us from Service Air, which is one of our neighbors up here in Woodbury, and a plumbing and heating contractor, very simply, I remember I have one of these outside my house, and I think the snow has drifted against it. Well, that could be a real problem. Done. I actually, I heard you had one of these. Well, I was going to go easy. And so I had this. They're very similar. And what this does is to exhaust the warm exhaust from your furnace and take in fresh air. And if it gets clogged with snow or ice, you've got a real problem. The unit will shut off. Okay. This is this is the modern day chimney. Instead of a chimney going through the roof, this comes out of the side of the house. You've you've got it. This is the modern day chimney. And if it gets frosted over, you're not going to have any heat. It's that simple. And the way to solve the problem is to go outside, shovel it out from underneath the snowdrift and clear it, and your furnace will start once again. And I have to keep it clear throughout the snowstorm. You sure do. You have to keep it clear. You or the the furnace simply will not run because I. And my name isn't exactly like this. Mine is a T on the right. But some of my neighbors have this.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998#t=2704.59,2779.02"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998/transcript/71245/annotation/32","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"You may see, you been coming up the wall of your house. You probably see two of them. And, the job is just to keep them clear and you'll stay in heat. Okay. We've gotten a lot of calls about heat pumps. Some of the other day. Told us to go outside with a condenser. Is sure what they call it. They call it the outdoor unit with a home that if you're if you're lucky enough to have a heat pump, then, the outdoor unit is a technical term. Well, it's outside. Okay, okay. The outdoor unit where you you brush the snow up, it brushes snow off of it. But to tell you the truth, in weather like this, when the temperature gets below about 28 degrees, it's not going to work very well anyway. And you'll be on electric heat. One of the great enigmas of the heat pump is that when it gets cold, it doesn't heat. So you'll be, you'll be using electric resistance heat. And the nice thing about that is it will be warm as opposed to the cooler discharge air temperatures you experience in summer weather. Somebody told me that's like heating your house with a toaster. You got it. It's about 20 bucks a day, but it beats, throwing another log on the fire. Okay, what other problems crop up with the heat in this? Cool. Well, problems related to plumbing, when you have long periods of cold, like we do, these past few days, you'll have, plumbing pipes on outside walls in particularly your kitchen sink. Usually your kitchen sink is located up against a window on an outside wall, and it will get cold, especially underneath the cabinet. The simplest thing to do is to open up the cabinet doors and let the warm air from your home heat those those pipes and you.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998#t=2779.46,2857.92"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998/transcript/71245/annotation/33","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"You won't have a freezing problem. More than that, perhaps south of our region, maybe as much as 7 or 8in, believe it or not, with clearing later on, low of 17 to 22. And then for tomorrow, a mainly sunny, a much nicer day.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998#t=1332.15,1414.41"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998/transcript/71261/annotation/58","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Breezy conditions continue on the cold side. You realize Dutch Ruppersberger of Baltimore County executive's been with us, on and off throughout this weekend, and he's on the line now that you're going to make a change. It's something. And until this rush hour traffic is over, it's going to be difficult to start dealing with these roads.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998#t=1525.75,1634.69"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998/transcript/71261/annotation/60","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"We're also, telling people in the North County, especially the Harford Zone, we're going to have a hard time in dealing with emergency situations there for the next hour or so. There's a lot of traffic there, and there's still a lot of roads in North County that we have not been able to get to, because we have to get front end loaders to dig out the snow. But, we're just asking people to stay in. We can't control the weather. And this new storm hit us by surprise. I mean, we we say we were told we might get an inch or some dusting. Thanks. But let's not talk about that now, all right? Just get your results. See you later, buddy. Okay. Thanks. Jesse. Dennis Edwards is standing by in the city. Yeah, just talking about the county. Dennis, I believe, is still in Hamden with a word about the city streets. Dennis. Well, they are still, as you'd imagine, sadly, very, very rough right now. A real one on 41st Street, right behind me here you can see a thin layer of, ice and snow mixed together there, a little sand and some salt, and, people along this hill right here, just above Falls Road on 41st Street, are having a pretty difficult time. I don't know your name, but we'll find out real quickly. Tell me who you are. And what is this thing? You're right. Conic rally. And this is a four wheel, four track for four wheel. Let's go five to about 18 down to the inner harbor by the city is going to stay quite a bit warmer, and we're now looking down the pike at perhaps an appreciable snow event for Friday. And I know that people are out there and they're digging two feet of snow out. And this is not what's on their mind, but it's kind of interesting. And even if they do, there are people in Annapolis who can't get out of theirs. The streets in Annapolis very often are small. They're having trouble plowing them. When we were younger, they said that man would walk on the moon. I still can't believe it. They said we talk on portable phones. Now everybody has. What? They said that when we retired, our health care would be taken care of. But they didn't tell us everything. When Jack went into the hospital last year, Medicare helped a lot. Well, that's because I lifted this morning.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998#t=2612.18,2704.26"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998/transcript/71261/annotation/72","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"I understand don't Scotsman working out to having trackside to my, well working my way through the drip. But some of my neighbors have this.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998#t=2704.59,2779.02"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998/transcript/71261/annotation/73","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"You may see, you been coming up the wall of your house. The simplest thing to do is to open up the cabinet doors and let the warm air from your home heat those those pipes and you.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998#t=2779.46,2857.92"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136407/file/252998/transcript/71261/annotation/74","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"You won't have a freezing problem. Well, you can do that if it hasn't frozen yet. But, the main thing is to make sure that there is heat where there are pipes, and then they simply won't freeze.
