The 29 -year -old Green was arrested in the Big Apple last August. He had escaped from Maryland prison authorities at University Hospital in April of 1982. George, anything to say? Green was noncommittal as he was whisked away in handcuffs. Green and his brother were convicted of the brutal stabbing deaths of two employees at Gampy's Restaurant on North Charles Street in March of 1981. The victims, Robert Seidman and Jimmy Curtis, were found in pools of blood and stabbed repeatedly. After his escape, Green managed to elude police for three years and nine months. He was finally arrested last August in Manhattan. He worked in a delicatessen virtually under the nose of the FBI. Bye. the FBI building was located across the street from the deli. Green waited on and became friendly with many unsuspecting FBI agents. So his arrest was obviously a shock to those who got to know him during that time.
