Huge cranes were brought in to try to right the cars. Still no word on what caused the train to jump the tracks. No one was injured in the mishap and passenger service was not interrupted by the derailment. The Social Security West building is reopened today, but employees will not know until Friday whether their building is to blame for a case of Legionnaire's disease. 3200 employees were notified last week that a coworker on the sixth floor of the Dickinson Building was hospitalized with Legionnaires. The bacteria, which is passed through contaminated water droplets, can cause severe and sometimes fatal pneumonia. The complex was closed over the weekend so crews could flush out the water system to kill that bacteria. A veteran pilot is missing and presumed dead after something went terribly wrong at a Pittsburgh air show yesterday. Paul Martino reports. Thousands of people watch the tragedy, among them the pilot's wife, who was announcing his stunts over the loudspeaker. A stunned crowd watched in shock as the plane plunged into the Ohio River. The wing snapped and went up upside down and that's where it hit the wall. Then it started going nosedive and slammed right into Ohio. An arduous task is underway for the investigators of TWA flight 800. Today, they begin to examine the tangled section of the cockpit that was raised from the ocean floor over the weekend. Officials say they are not expecting any dramatic discoveries right away, but they do hope it will shed some light on what brought down the jetliner, killing all 230 passengers on board. It was just an argument that just exploded. A very unusual argument. Loveland police say the man who lived at the house was wheelchair bound. He had recently been released from the hospital following surgery. This morning, a home health care nurse came by to change his bandages. It was a very painful procedure. The intense pain led to arguing with the man, claiming the nurse wasn't doing her job right. The argument turned physical. There are some signs inside the home that there was a struggle between the nurse and the patient. The nurse fled the home from a north door. The patient left the home from a back door on the south side of the home in his wheelchair. Witnesses say the man's sister tried to stop him, but he pushed her out of the way. He caught up with the nurse by her car, pulled her to the ground. A neighbor says he ran to break up the fight, but the man pulled out a gun and shot the nurse in the head. I stopped instantly, he looked at me. I turned and ran back across the street. A dog on my cell phone, as I ran back across the street, ducked behind my car and. Watched him shoot himself. It was very quick teamwork by Baltimore City and Baltimore County police working together that has brought this arrest of three men who were arrested in a pickup truck that was parked right here off Cold Spring Lane in Baltimore City. Police think the trio is responsible for this morning's shooting incident on Hot Springs Road, where 41 year old mother of two Shannon Sena was shot in the chest by three masked gunmen who broke into the house. Eyewitness news was exclusively on the scene about 230 this afternoon when the three men were taken into custody. Right now they're going out to Towson to be questioned. She and a number of her friends had gone out to ride these personal watercraft, all of them under age 14. There was a crash and she lost her life. And today, the adults who took them on that excursion that ended in tragedy was sentenced. Basically, the kids were too young by law to operate those vehicles, and they also had not taken the required safety course. What I like to see happen is that if one child could be saved as a result of this, just one. Roxann Beadle's father feels such pain, he could barely speak after today's sentencing. You made a mistake and he made the mistake. Not with any malice, as the judge pointed out. Not because he meant harm to anybody, but he did it out of love. Roxann isn't the only Maryland victim of a personal watercraft accident. There have been four deaths in the past two years, and her father wanted the word out to parents and kids to be careful, or they may suffer as he has. I pray that you never lose a child. There's nothing like this. This is the ultimate violation of the natural order. Soul shattering experience. So to sum up DiMaggio's sentence, he did get one year in jail for each of four counts of reckless endangerment. But the judge suspended all of that, and instead, he must serve community service and be on probation. Also, he got $1,500 in fines. Okay, Suzanne, did the judge elaborate at all about his decision not to send DiMaggio to jail? He did. He felt it wouldn't serve any purpose. He said that the victim's father agreed with him. Macaulay says that if that gets done, he then wants a judge to remove those two as his legal guardians, saying that the situation as it exists now is simply unworkable. Some insight into the exquisitely strange mind of movie director and embalmer native John Waters today. John says his first fascination with movies came as a result of a 1950s gimmick flick called The Tingler. The movie had several scenes in it where people got electrocuted, and the gimmick was they had a bunch of seats in the theater wired up. So when somebody in the movie was getting zapped, the person watching would also get zapped by a little non-lethal jolt. Anyway, it was just love this darn movie. So he went through it almost every day for about a month, sometimes sat through several showings each day and always in one of the specially wired seats. And so John says, it was only through the application of self-induced electroshock therapy that he was able to see his way clear to a career in the cinema. Now you know the rest of the story. Hey, look, speaking of movies, top box office attraction in the land this week was the, John Grisham thriller A Time to Kill. Second week in a row that it's occupied the top spot. That's the warmest it's been all year long. That's pretty nice for the ocean to be 74 degrees. One of the reasons for that is when you have a southeast wind. The winds bring it actually warmer water from the Gulf Stream. When the winds shift around to the northwest, it up wells and brings the cold water that's just below the surface. When you get a northwest wind, oh, probably drop the lake 66 degrees. So for the time being, looks like for several days it's going to be in the low 70s. Very, very pleasant. Not too bad to go in. He is charged with an unthinkable crime, and tonight, Duane Harris will spend another night behind bars for allegedly killing his parents. The killing shocked residents of the South Baltimore neighborhood. And today, a judge ordered Harris to undergo a psychiatric exam and denied bail. Police were called to his parents home on South Hanover Street on Thursday. Harris answered the door, and that's when they found his parents, Harold and Essie Wainright, bludgeoned to death in separate rooms. NFL football is back in Baltimore for the first time in nearly 13 years, and fans didn't have a problem getting to the Ravens first game Saturday night, either. Nearly 64,000 fans crammed Memorial Stadium. That's a record crowd, and even though there were only 5000 parking spaces, a lot of fans use public transportation. And, Suzanne, I would imagine this is a very unusual sentence. It is an interesting one. Katie, the people ranged in age from 11 to 13, and yet at that time you had to be 14 to drive a personal watercraft. Also, they had not taken the required boating safety class. Her death would not be wasted, that some good would come out of it. The one thing that our family probably couldn't take is that her death was for nothing. He lost his 13 year old daughter when the personal watercraft she was riding collided with one that her friend was on. The judge told 28 year old James DiMaggio he would not go to jail for endangering the young people, but he would have to serve 1000 hours of community service by getting out the word on safety. He evidently did not want to start speaking publicly today as he ran from our cameras. He can't speak to you because he's the only thing he can do at this point. His cry. And joke about this whole incident. He's just never going to get over it. DiMaggio had taken his younger sister, at her request to ride a personal watercraft with friends last August. They testified at the trial that he warned them to stay a football field apart as they rode on Jackson Creek. Apparently, when one child cut the engine, the steering locked and she was unable to prevent the collision. Jail is a place for criminals. James the Butcher is not a criminal. James the bus. So, Suzanne, how can parents and young people find out more about about these vehicles? Is there any kind of a lesson that they can take? Well, we picked up one of these pamphlets that people can get at the Department of Natural Resources, and inside it tells you about all sorts of things, like required equipment on the personal watercraft.
