It was w 8 a.m. It's a daily. Do you recall the name candy corn? Candy corn or you're just a little kid? I was a little kid. I was a little kid. How did you think about being on TV? Nervous. I just remember driving up that hill and shaking. I just. I just didn't. Know. I was petrified. And my mother kept saying, You can do it. You can do it. So I made it. And then when the cameras and the lights went on. I was fine. I was fine. Everything went away. And it was worth it. But then I just found out. Not only do I tap dance, I do sing. And I just can't remember that. Since we don't have any pictures. Are you saying good? You. You tap danced? I tap dance. Do you recall the tune? No, no, no. Memory blocking. They knew, I think, that you were going to be different. Different. I think they had you at every different kind of pose. How about Unique? Okay. Okay. When did you show the ability to dance? At three. What made him know that you were going to be a dancer? Because I was dancing all over the house. I was tapping my way to heaven at three. And didn't realize where I was going. Tapped on the streets. Tapped on the streets? Yes, with crowds around. And then you got involved with with some point in your life. He got married and big and had it. I have one child. A little boy. A boy. And his name. Jim. Jim. Jim Lewis. Jim. Jim. Little Jim. No, not little Jim. Just Jim. Jim? Jim. And it seems like it picked up a little weight there with that pregnancy. Did you have to bring that up? Thank you so much. That was very nice. A little weight. A little weight. How much? I was pregnant. And do I have to say it? I tell the truth to 20 to get it right. Do I have to really tell you? Was that the 25 pounds you gained? 25? Yes, I gained 25. Was that the heaviest you ever weighed in your adult life? Ever? Ever? Yes. So you bloomed up to what? Do I have to tell you? Yeah. No, You. Well, I'm trying to. I'm trying to find out why you are such an exercise buff. I mean, one time in your life you bloomed up to, what, 125, 25, I think. Okay. Forgot that part. So then you got into aerobics. You got into aerobics almost 20 years ago in the early 70s. It was it was just almost then it really wasn't aerobics. It was exercise to music and then into aerobics. We just would put a little record player on and then do some exercises and then aerobics. And so that led you into a whole new high energy, high energy aerobics, aerobics, the stuff that you were doing today, what do you call it? What I did today was step aerobics. And it's guaranteed to give lesser folks a heart attack. No, it's not. No. But truthfully, Norm, it's really the best so far of all of the years I've been teaching. I find that step aerobics is the best because it's not that pounding on your body like the high impact that we used to do. I mean, I'm lucky I'm still walking around walking. It's not a word I would use to describe what you do. Well, I mean, I'm high energy. Yeah, I know. You're right. Hi, Auntie. What can I say? Take nitroglycerin. No, no, no. I don't take anything. Vitamins? I'm fine. Will you admit that you are 40 something? 30? We decided. But were you interested in that? Well, what I'm trying to say is, if there are any women out there who are over 25, you can go higher. 35, you can go higher. We'll stay at 30. I like that. Because there are any women over there who out there who are over 35 and they feel like they can't get in shape. What message do you have for them? You can do it because you can go up to 40. I'll let you say 40. So you can go 35.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136850/file/253862#t=818.28,933.48"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136850/file/253862/transcript/71664/annotation/4","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Any any women or men for that? Yeah, 35 or older. If they're feeling bad and if they're feel like they're a little bit out of shape and they want. What do you recommend? Well, we have to start off slow and and you need to do it more than once a week. You need to do at least three times a week. And exercise slow. You can't just pop pop into one day class like you saw this morning and not know what you were doing. I'd have to give you a program. Find out what your goals are and work on that. Take it from there. How long would it take an out of shape person to to do the kind of work? It depends on how out of shape they are and what your goals are. That's that's the whole thing. It's goals. What And to set reasonable goals for yourself and eat properly. But you just can't go and you know, it's not there's no such thing as weight loss. It's weight control. You don't want to take things away from people that they normally eat. You just want to do it in smaller portions. Weight control, not weight loss. Not quick weight loss. So you're not saying if you like ice cream, don't eat a half a gallon. Eat a little teeny bite. But if you like it, eat it. And then get in there and jump up and down. No, not jump up and down. Exercise. Get on the treadmill. You're a professional, obviously, now. Yes. You bet. It is some pretty heady competition. Yes. I see the majority of the people you work with are women. Do you ever get a chance to get around some men? Yes. And they get the little potbelly. Yeah. I'm sorry. The women don't get that. Not like we get it at other places. So you have a program designed to. To try to work those love handles off and that little belly that the men get, like. Remember we were talking about. We're going to get you in here so I can do it now and then with me. Why don't we do that? I like to shoot me now and then. How long would it take me to get me in decent shape? And let's say I'm about to five, I'd like to get down to about 7580 with muscle.
