Bordering unclear humidity at 55. The barometer is steady our next high and low tides at the fort Sunrise tomorrow will be at 610 and it sets at 814 Well as we take a look around the viewing area right now You can see there are showers primarily to the north and we'll focus in on those with radar in a moment Here's the way the temperatures look though 84 degrees the current reading in Salisbury and Ocean City at 79 up in Dover Delaware 78 in Philadelphia they didn't get near as much sunlight up there as we got around here today it seemed like the cloud cover was pretty much to the north eighty two at bw y but eighty five in washington and eighty five also out of douglas international eighty four degrees martinsburg and eighty three degrees up in cumberland now on the radar screen you see some of the showers are beginning to dissipate but they had some very heavy showers off toward the harpers ferry area and they kind of skimmed along north of baltimore some areas up in baltimore county got some and we had a little sprinkle or two down here on t .v. hill they're beginning to break up down over the areas of delaware and the eastern shore now but still pretty prevalent out here in southern new jersey also a few down here along the northern banks of the james river and to the north of richmond virginia now of course as the sun goes down it's not the automatic time at eight I'm not saying they're all going to disappear, but as the sun goes down. The temperatures begin to cool down below and the showers will begin to break up a little bit. But we did have a pocket of cool air in the upper atmosphere that rolled by us today. The heat from the temperatures on the ground today rose, and we did get the usual type of August summertime convection thunderstorms. Same will hold true tomorrow and the next day, too. As we look at today's highs, you see heat and humidity was pretty predominant all over the eastern half of the country. 90 degrees up and up and wait a minute is that say ninety or forty and i think it's ninety it's a little blurry but it is heat and humidity at ninety degrees the current reading up up as uh... we get into areas of the east coast and boston massachusetts ranging eighty nine degrees down in miami tonight's forecast warm and muggy thunderstorm in some areas fog late seventy to seventy five and then the outlook for tomorrow hot and humid hazy sunshine chance of an afternoon thundershower at a high of ninety one degrees Here's our five -day forecast from AccuWeather then. We'll say sunny, 72 degrees, Tuesday partly cloudy. Now this is Bob's forecast. This is an old one. Pay no attention to this one that's here right now on the screen. I'll stand in front of it so you don't see it. The next five days are going to be hazy, hot, and humid, with highs about 91 for the first few days and down to 89 degrees for the rest of them. An American businessman and his son returned home Sunday after being held hostage two days aboard a hijacked Air France jetliner. 60 -year -old Wilhelm Osterne and his son were among 60 passengers and crew members aboard that Boeing 737 that was hijacked to Iran on Tuesday. The Mo Bay Chemical Company executive praised diplomatic efforts to free the hostages, and his son said that the hijackers were very kind to them at times. But at other times, they feared for their lives. One man was killed, and four others were injured at a wedding reception in St. Paul, Minnesota. A man wearing a Nazi battle helmet burst into the reception and opened fire, killing the groom's uncle. The high -pressure center is right here, and by a little later on this evening, probably early hours of the morning, it'll be just about here. Take a look at tomorrow's map, you'll see what I mean. As it does move a little bit in this direction, we'll start getting a little bit more of a flow from the west, and as we do, we may get just a little cooling effect, less chance of showers and probably more sunshine tomorrow, although temperatures will warm up tomorrow, probably be about the warmest day so far in the last three or four. ninety degrees primarily all over the east coast nineties back in the lower plains eighty degrees in the upper plains as we look out to the west coast temperatures will be old seventies in the west coast but down los angeles approaching eighty degrees for another nice day at the olympics so our five -day forecast from accu weather then first off looks like warm and muggy with patchy fog overnight sixty six to seventy three and then the outlook for tomorrow Hot? Humid? Hazy sunshine. I keep saying tomorrow, but this is tomorrow. So this is Monday's forecast. Hot and humid, hazy sunshine. Chance of an afternoon thundershower. Very slim chance. And our five -day forecast looking in the wrong direction. Looks like hot and humid for the first couple of days. Ninety -one and ninety -one. Eighty -nine. Then temperatures pretty much to normal by Thursday and Friday. Eighty -seven degrees. Eighty -seven degrees normally this time of the year. Eighty -eight. We'll probably begin losing humidity, Debbie, around Wednesday a little bit. There's a frontal system, a very weak one, will kind of lumber on through the area and maybe bring temperatures down. But as I said, Monday today should be a very nice day, although it's going to be hot. Probably a lot more sunshine and a few less thundershowers. That's the look of the week ahead. As you wake up in the morning, hazy sunshine and 75, yeah, they did all right, didn't they?
text/plain
https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/144434/file/266942#t=2592.2,2805.74
https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/144434/file/266942/transcript/77130/annotation/90
Speaker 2: All right, they sure did.
