It's made things very hard for us and we've all been a little depressed about that. But it's a funny, outrageous, typical John Waters film with a typical, crazy, off-the-wall cast. I mean, all of us are so outrageously cast and none of us have. Almost anything in common with the other person, which is fun, actually, and stimulating. I guess it has to be like all of John's films. It's either gonna be the biggest hit I've ever seen, or it will be a gigantic bomb. I felt Hairsspray was just an absolutely delicious, wonderful film, and this of course follows along the lines of that kind of John Waters film, it's his first really big budget picture. And I know he's very excited about that, and I'm sure probably very nervous about it as well, but he doesn't have to be. He works so well with people. He cares so much about people, and that's what you need with a director. Not only someone who knows how to direct you as an actress, but directors also have to kind of be father figures to everyone. So take care of everyone and make them feel good and make the feel as though they're doing their. It's, you know, young girls who get really crazy. I saw it once. Years and years and years ago I went to a gigantic event in New York City with Rock Hudson and my husband was working and he was going to later and he was Rock's agent. Personally exposed to that kind of craziness, because I was with him, where they would shove a flash bulb camera that close to your face and shoot it off, which, you know, I mean, those things can explode and you could be blinded for life. They were tearing his clothes off.
