Well, I would be scared that all, of all these years of work would go up in smoke because I have this new number. Can you legally get that? Well, under certain circumstances, you can get a new Social Security number, but they're very specific about what qualifies as being disadvantaged. If someone else is out there applying for credit under your under your number. That's disadvantage. If someone's getting stopped by a traffic cop and giving your number. That's disadvantage. If you need a new job or a new credit card, or you're applying for a mortgage, that's not disadvantage. And as a matter of fact, if you give fragile information to get a new number, well, that's criminal activity. And they have procedures in place to help prosecute for doing also criminal activity for the guy who's out there using your Social Security number. This is true too. So you may be you might be cellmates. The idea is if you're out there getting a new number for fraudulent reasons, then you're in trouble. Okay. But before you go, if you qualify for a new Social Security number, did you have to pay for that or does the government give it to you? Well, that's the whole idea. This pitch is offering to do this for anywhere from 100 to $300. But if you really meet the qualifications for a new number, it is free. Let's go live now to Brenda Carle, who has the very latest. Brenda. Denise. It was about 445 this afternoon when the number 22 bus, which is still parked behind me, was heading home full of passengers all on their way home from work. The bus stopped here at Sinclair and Edison. Apparently, two suspects chased another man onto the bus where he was shot. When gunfire erupted, chaos broke out on the bus. A police officer who was on duty in the neighborhood heard the gunshots and rushed to the scene and saw what had happened. Right now, police are working to identify the victim, whose body remains on board the bus. Right now, I'm speaking with Rob white. And you feel that he went that way through the woods, behind us. Every indication we have at this point is that they fled southbound through a wooded area just behind us. Thank you very much for your time. Again, the bus was packed and all those passengers have been transferred onto another bus. Will they'll go downtown and be questioned by homicide detectives. Marijuana is being considered as a way to help ease the pain for people with illnesses like Aids or cancer. Michael Lesko has been following the debate over medical use of marijuana in his commentary tonight. He says it's time to reconsider its abuses and its legitimate uses. Well, it's on the ballot in a couple of states, but of course, people all over the country are watching this. The old argument against marijuana was that it could lead to other, more addictive illegal drugs and various law breaking to support them. But what kind of an argument is that to a person dying of cancer or Aids, who merely wants blessed relief from pain? And all politics aside. Who among us would deny such relief to anyone in such condition? The problem is this has become a political issue in the modern context. Big controversy in the AFC this week as the coaches out in Denver say that the Chiefs wide receivers are a bunch of lowlife, banjo neck, garage face, cheap shot artists. They offer up this play as exhibit A wide receiver. Dale Carter taking a defensive back. Lionel Washington Broncos say it was a deliberate attempt to injure the guy. Marty Schottenheimer disagrees. I resent the statement that what we do is unethical because our players are not. I repeat, they are not doing anything illegal or unethical. Now the case is closed and let's go on about our business. Okay, so the chiefs in their lowlife banjo neck cheap shot, our shortest wide receivers are going to play at Minnesota on Sunday. They trail Denver by two games in the AFC Western division. A couple of baseball items today. First of all, from Philadelphia, where the Phillies introduced their new manager. Today, 37 year old Terry Francona spent last summer as third base coach for the Tigers and did such a great job, the Phillies decided to make him their 48th manager in franchise history. Francona succeeds Jim for Jose, who was fired earlier this month, first of the postseason honors announced today. Tony La Russa of the Cardinals named as Associated Press Manager of the year.
