Mike Schuh was out and about all morning and he joins us now live. Hi, Mike. Hello, Kelly. You know, they always tell budding writers to write about what they know. Well, welcome to my world. This is my street here in Rogers fortune. I have a particular fondness for this pile right here. I feel it's like my baby. Laurie, my neighbor and I. This is what we have shoveled so far this whole winter season. And, of course, we have to get our car out in a 45 degree angle here. The people are kind of going nuts in the neighborhood. Partially because you see this hard pack here. You know, there's like a whole foot of snow right here in the smaller cars. Can't get through the four wheelers can. And that's all that has been through this neighborhood ever since this started. Now when you need some more food because are starting to go bare, you go out and you restock.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997#t=291.7,383.47"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997/transcript/71247/annotation/4","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Well, now the stores are starting to restock as well. We have a look inside of the, Edie's supermarket here. Thank you. And, what I can tell you is that, a lot of the aisles are very crowded people, going in, the milk is, finally getting back on to the shelves, and, cold cut aisles are no longer skinny, so we want more supplies. We want to cook more corn muffins. More chili. You're you're having a I'm having a wonderful time. I'm here mainly to help my mother, who is, stranded in the side street, can't get any groceries. And so, we have the basics. Well, we have ensure because she doesn't have, the ability to eat hard food and a little bread, a little milk. And I have a tough one for the night to celebrate my good efforts. We didn't run to the grocery store like you were supposed to when they announced snow. So we've been living on Diet Coke and, nachos and cheese. Well, it's good that people are keeping their sense of humor during this time of year. And I'm a little embarrassed to say that, this is my other car. We had to find some space to put all the snow to get the four Wheeler out. So we started putting car, snow on top of the car because it has one of those little roof rack things for bicycles. You could actually fit a couple of feet of snow off on top of here, and, we'll worry about that later. The one thing I did want to tell people that, it's interesting, we've been getting some reports of people, kind of losing their sense of humor. A neighbor told me that he. Meeting the estimated $48 million in snow cleanup costs. And the cleanup is in high gear across the area. Trying to beat any more flakes that are coming our way. Let's see what progress the city is making with George Balog, who is head of the city's Department of Public Works. Hi, George. How are you doing? What's the latest plan? The latest thing. We're in a side streets now and we're plowing. And I think one, we talked earlier with Don Scott. We said we're going to use we're going to pack the snow down and that's what we're doing. We can't move it to a side because we would just be, putting all that snow against cars and we're packing it down. We're going in with our plows straight away, and we are making progress. Okay, Michael, you and I just talked about the fact that you're you're towing cars from the snow emergency routes, right? What if a car is so snowed under if you can't move? Really? We're not going to tow that car.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997#t=486.1,567.4"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997/transcript/71247/annotation/6","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Okay, what we're doing, we're we're telling the cars that are really at in a travel lane. So that's the cars we were targeting and towing. Well, there is more snow in the forecast. George, I'm wondering, is that going to change your plan of action? No, we're we're going to do what we're doing right now. We we want to we're putting a lot of emphasis on side streets. We want to get those people out. We want to make it, accessible. That they could at least drive their cars out. They probably will need four wheel drive. But we want we want to make those streets accessible. So that's our effort right now. Well. Very good. I'm sure a lot of people are pleased to know that. George Balog, thank you very much. George. I think he's gone. He got off in a hurry. Okay. He's a busy man today, I'm sure. Well, are we getting the streets cleared just to face even more snow? I think we are. We're going to check in with Marty now to find out. Hi, Marty. Well, you know, it's interesting. We've been talking about, you know, municipalities trying to clear streets and alleys and whatnot. This is now. We're now day four into the event in. At some point, the storm has to become a personal event. Yeah. I was thinking to myself, I did have my driveway, and I've got the other half of my driveway to do so. And how bout this morning? Had some flurries fly through the area. Just a little dirty, unsettled air behind the upper air service that passed through yesterday. That was quite a visual shock for a few folks, but the forecast for this afternoon calls partly cloudy skies, blustery conditions in the area. We'll go ahead in the racist loop and start fresh. Look for a new storm coming our way and touch base with you on that upcoming event shortly. Don. Thank you. And if this week has proven anything, it's that it's always best to be prepared prior to winter hitting, especially when you want to stay warm. Two most welcome sights in this winter gone wrong. Sunshine and an oil truck outside ready to add fuel to the fire that warms one's home. But it's also another job. The snow has made it much more difficult. You got to through sometimes 2 or 3 foot drifts. It can get hot. So this is an easy one. Oh, man, this is easy. I've had worse. 40 60 foot pause, three 30 foot drifts and it can get hard. And how about when you have to get back in an alley? Can you get in most alleys in the city, in the suburbs today? No. Detalhes are almost untouchable. We try to get some of the alleys the best we can, but some of them is almost impossible to get there. Some of these streets are almost impossible to get through. I mean, they get a plow down and you got a good chance. At the same time when you get if you go down and down, trucks land and that's with chains on a heavy truck, all to make an emergency run that often isn't.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997#t=654.45,746.26"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997/transcript/71247/annotation/8","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"A lot of people just get nervous because they hear the snow coming, and they want their tank topped off, and you go there and you put, you know, 80, 90 gallons in there. By the way, that high pitched whistle with the oil going in the tank. It was a welcome sight of the people in that house, but not to us. No, it didn't sound. You will hear the carol. People say. There's only one real way to ward off a true oil emergency. And that subscribe to an automatic fuel fill up play. Well, Mother Nature apparently cannot stand in the way of government. It is day one of the 1996 General Assembly session in Annapolis. Our legislative reporter, Suzanne Collins, is live from the House chamber, where this hour marks the official opening of the 90 day session. Suzanne, did many lawmakers show up today? Well, Kelly, I tell you, it looks like most of them are here. Forgive me for whispering, but you caught us right in the middle of the opening prayer. All they need is half of the lawmakers here to have a quorum, which is what they legally need to start. And it looks to me, when I look down there that the majority of seats are filled. From what I heard, apparently troopers were sent out to help them get out of their homes, and they had more trouble with the people close to Baltimore and not the rural ones who are prepared for this kind of thing. A lot of family members will be.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997#t=746.74,821.81"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997/transcript/71247/annotation/9","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"They'll be electing the speaker of the House, and the president of the Senate will be giving speeches. But the most important thing is how is it going to affect Marylanders? What do they care about this year? And I talked to Taylor this morning. He was telling me the most important issue to him is the economy and jobs. And they're going to really concentrate on creating jobs. Also, giving tax incentives to businesses if they create jobs. One big question that affects a lot of people. Will they have a personal income tax cut? We'll probably know that around March when they get some new revenue estimates. So we'll have to keep you up to date on that. Another issue highly controversial, is the stadium funding. Apparently Mike Miller, the president of the Senate, was telling me he's got got many letters from citizens who say, hey, that's a publicly funded stadium that's to be built. And why is it that to see the Browns, we have to pay for those personal seat licenses? I don't know if you remember those, but it's a big upfront fee. And he said that's, bound to be controversial. Let me just give you a quick list, because we're going to run out of time here of some of the other issues handguns, a crackdown on them. The governor has a bunch of bills, one main one being that you could only buy one a month. There's going to be a debate over whether to lower auto insurance rates. And I think a lot of people would like to hear that. There's still not enough data to give you a real accurate forecast as to are we going to get snow or are we going to get freezing rain? And how much of either are we going to get? I can tell you this right now we are leaning toward more snow than freezing rain as of this broadcast. That could change with the afternoon computer runs, and I can guarantee it's not going to be until about tomorrow morning. Maybe this newscast tomorrow that we can say, all right, here's the storm and here's exactly what's going to what it's going to do to us exactly at this time and exactly what these results just understand, we have more weather coming our way tomorrow night and into Friday, clearing for the weekend as high pressure will build there and sunshine, windy conditions today.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997#t=1196.01,1276.65"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997/transcript/71247/annotation/14","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Once again these temperatures interesting in that they are. It's very weak right now, but it does have some snow already moving into portions of Illinois tonight. Just the leading edge of it in Iowa. That's that's one storm. That's one little area of low pressure. Another one that way, way down along the Louisiana coast. Clear and cold temps to this evening 18 to 28 single digits overnight with clear skies and lighter winds. Sally. Okay, Bob, another storm's not exactly what we need. We're still digging out from the Blizzard of 96 and yesterday's encore performance. But in Baltimore City, digging out presents another problem. Mike Schuh continues our team coverage live in East Baltimore to explain. Mike, good afternoon, or rather, good evening. Sally. All of Madison Street, which is what I'm standing on, is a snow emergency route, which means you can't park your car on this piece of pavement when a snow emergency is declared. How do you know that? One, two, three. And all the way up this high, where there are these red signs, they say snow route. No parking during emergency. Yet. People have been parking all up and down here throughout the entire emergency. So today the city took action. And either you got your car out of here, or the city was going to charge you $200 for the privilege. It's the sound of the roads being cleared. All day. Traffic control officers, tow truck drivers and snowplow operators have been hitting the main emergency routes out of town. Where am I supposed to move my car? I can put it in my garage because I can't get down the side street.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997#t=2011.37,2110.63"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997/transcript/71247/annotation/22","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"I can't get down an alley, so I'll get a ticket and have to pay $200 to move my car. But Leslie Wallace's parking space on Glens Falls is on one of those emergency routes. Where are you supposed to put it? I'm asking you. Well, what do you want me to do with it? Put it on my back. Put it in my backyard. I can't do nothing with it. Where were you supposed to put it? Where can I put it? On top of City hall. Downtown at Snow Command. The potentate of the plows has little sympathy. She was on a slope. The snow route on Glens Falls. She does herself. But her question is okay. I've dug myself out. The cops are telling me to leave. But where do I go? Okay. And. But I could be the devil's advocate here and say, why don't you. Why don't you move a car before it starts now? We gave her warnings to do it. So in the end, there's really only one way to go off the street. Either with you driving or the friendly chauffeur in the big white limo at the wheel. Now, so far, the city has towed about 100 cars. And I asked George Bailey, I mean, how many are out there? Thousands. And he said, no, it's more in the hundreds range. So if you're watching this and you haven't got your car off the street, I know you don't have any place to put it, and they know you don't have any place to put it, but call your friends. Maybe, go to the local mall. You cross your fingers if you can park it there, but, get it off the streets. Sally. Mike. Not that they're going to get a lot of sympathy tonight, but towing those cars is hard on the crews as well.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997#t=2110.99,2197.87"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997/transcript/71247/annotation/23","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Well, the thing about it is they're not going to get a lot of sympathy from the people who have their cars parked on the street. But the majority of us are the people who use these streets. So those crews get a lot of sympathy. But the people out here who are getting their cars towed, there is some salty language being used and it isn't going to be in this family show. I can tell you that right now. Thanks a lot. Next to Reporting live, Richard. Well, Sally, of course, time is of the essence in an emergency. But the snow has slowed down. Rescue crews and ambulance responding to an emergency. And in our gardens today was blocked by the snow. Paramedics had to do some walking to get to the man who needed help. Then they had to carry the stretcher down some snowy stairs. They eventually got the man to Union Memorial Hospital, his name and condition not yet known. This is just another reason why you should shovel your sidewalks if you can. Now, if you live on a side street in a county and you haven't yet seen a plow, there it is. They say a light at the end of the tunnel. We checked around with several area counties just a little while ago, and here's what we found. Baltimore County has more than 2000 miles of residential streets. They're hoping to be finished plowing the majority of them by tonight. And 100 secondary roads in Harford County are still impassable. But crews are working around the clock and all should be cleared by tomorrow night. The news even better tonight for Howard County, where they expected to get to most secondary roads by late this afternoon in Anne Arundel. The goal is to get every road plowed at least once by tomorrow.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997#t=2198.29,2280.55"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997/transcript/71247/annotation/24","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"And in Carroll County, they're still plowing away. So if you haven't seen some relief, they say it's coming very soon. Those who did manage to get to work today have a messy ride home ahead of them. For the latest on the slushy rush hour ride home. That's got a rush. Amen of the traffic team. Hi. Hi, Sally. Well, a lot of more people are on the highways, and we are looking at major problems now with this heavy volume of traffic. To note, northbound I-95 in route 24 was shut down for a short time. Medevac helicopter landed on the scene of an accident there. Slow traffic building all the way in from the Baltimore Hartford County line down in Prince George's County. We've been dealing with a problem for about the last two hours. Southbound I-95 at route 212 Jackknife Tractor Trial. They are now blocking the right hand lane, but only the left shoulder was getting by for a good hour. So definitely watch your slowdown. And from route 32. As for the Beltway and the rest of the interstates around, we still do have problems in the left and right hand lanes. Sometimes they disappear beyond a wall of traffic. And don't forget snow emergency plans are still in effect. That mean snow, fire of snow, snow, tires and or chains and change probably not really acceptable now because they just blow right off on the pavement and no parking. Also emergency roads, as Mike just told everyone. Rich, back to you. All right, Raj, thanks a lot. I'll be glad to get out of here, too. Most people had a lot more luck today getting out of BWI than they did yesterday. The airport officially reopened around 625 yesterday evening after its second closing due to the snow, and the planes have been going in and out ever since, and I understand that they're running about 90 to 95% on schedule. However, for those who were stranded here overnight, it was a long, hard night. Well, I'm trying to get to early. I started out yesterday morning at zero 730, and I've been here ever since. He was supposed to be in England on Saturday and had papers due at school. We had to fax from there last night and has a test, I think, today. So I hope he gets there. Well, we hope everybody gets to where it is they're going and Jay here holds there was here to help make sure when they had to stay overnight they had at least as pleasant an overnight stay as possible. You had some places that were open for fun. We did. We allowed the people that were here in the terminal to sleep on the benches, of course, and we also kept our observation gallery open all night long. So folks who wanted to stretch out up there had a place to stay. And Richard, Jay and I were just talking about being stranded in airports if you had to be stranded anywhere. BWI was not a bad place to be. There are a lot worse places, believe me. While Jay looks well-rested and very happy packed. Yeah, well, you know, I think Jay slept in his own bed last night. It's just that you have to be sure that your flight, you get booked on your flight and get on that plane, so you're on it when it leaves. Fathi, weekend assignments are out for the next storm. As Alex Demetric reports, the damage is still piling up, and we want to caution you that some of the video you're about to see in the story is disturbing. Others are still dying from injuries they received when the roof fell in. What little of the roof is left is too unstable to let stand, so it is being torn down. A lot of Glen Eaves Frederick County neighbors are helping at that time. You know, you don't think about calling. You know, you just got to jump in and do it. But thing. And as bad as all this has been, it is not over yet. Not with hundreds of stressed cows still facing the rest of winter. The cattle that slept here is. Is it calling for more snow now? This is wide open for the cattle. That's already. The collapse and the clean up has taken creatures of habit and left them so stressed that milk production is way down. All the excitement. Cows are kind of, you know, getting a routine and when everything changes, that really interrupts the production. The losses will be a long time adding up. The injured firefighter was taken to the Qui Burn Center and is expected to be released later tonight. Another firefighter also received minor injuries. There was a woman living in the house. She wasn't hurt. Investigators tell Eyewitness News they believe an unattended candle sparked this fire. Water, water everywhere. And soon it may be ice. This is the scene in Brooklyn ville today after a snowplow took out a fire hydrant. We have that video. There you go. Several attempts to stop the flooding have failed, so residents of this development have been told to make do without water all day tomorrow. We're told things will be back to normal by this time tomorrow night. Well, we hope so. Now, if your car gets stuck in the snow, you better watch out, because you could be stalked by the silent killer. Healthwatch reporter Kelly Lynn joins us with the details. Yeah, we have told people a lot of times throughout this blizzard, Richard, to stay in their car and try to stay warm if their car breaks down. But we are very concerned that not necessarily if the car breaks down, but if people get stuck and then the engine is on that they'll possibly get carbon monoxide poisoning. Any other ways you can tell that this is seeping into your car. Yeah, I think people should check their tailpipes and make sure that they're not clogged with snow, because what happens is the fumes can back up inside your car too, right? So if you get you if you get stuck in a snow pile and you keep it running so you get help, that the tailpipe could be up against the snow and the fumes could be coming. Exactly. Okay. Thanks, Kelly. Lawmakers have a lot to debate this year, including taxes and tax cuts, and they've already got angry letters from constituents about having to pay for a new football stadium. Some of my letters we're getting it just indicate that, you know, this stadium was being built by taxpayers dollars, and people should not be having to pay a personal license fee of between 500 and $5000 in order to have the privilege of purchasing tickets in a stadium which was built by taxpayers dollars. We're here this winter, concentrating on the hard working men and women of the state, giving them job security and giving them living wage jobs. In order to do that, we have to make our economy in Maryland as competitive as it can possibly be. So the House speaker says his priority number one is the economy and jobs. Mostly rain between Salisbury and eastern Cambridge area. Snow and ice, which will cut down accumulations. Okay. And also some rain mixed in this part of the country. Of the state of Maryland. Mainly snow, perhaps some sleet and ice mixed in from the city on north and west and all snow event, which means this area will see the highest totals as they did in the last storm, oddly enough. We thought it was going to be in the southeastern part of the state, but it looks like there'll be too much warm air down here to give you folks all snow. What we're looking at now are two is a low pressure one up in eastern North Dakota. Another very weak wind over Oklahoma. Now, what we expect will happen over the next 24 hours is that these two will combine in form in one storm here. By Friday morning, we're going to have a storm off the South Carolina coast, which will then move up the coast. It looks like it's going to be a little bit closer to our region than the last storm, which will bring a little bit more ocean air. A little warmer air come to the law, which could give us at least a risk of getting some sleet and rain or freezing rain mixed in with that particular storm system. So we'll watch this low as it develops, and eventually we're going to have one storm off the coast, and then it will move up the coast throughout the day on Saturday. Behind it you'll get windy and cold once again. We do not have the super cold air around on Friday and Saturday that we had the last storm, so it's not exactly the same type of storm. Sounds nice. Opening day. Great new line up to Cal Street. We'll continue. This young man had a happy ending. He was kidnaped and reunited with his parents. We'll tell you that story coming up. We try to get some of the alleys the best we can, but some of them is almost impossible to get there. Some disasters are almost impossible to get through. I mean, they get a plow down there. You got a good chance. But at the same time, when you get, you go down and down, trucks land. And that's with chains on a heavy truck, all to make an emergency run that often isn't. A lot of people just get nervous because they hear the snow coming, and they want their tank topped off. And you go there and you put, you know, 80, 90 gallons in there. Sometimes when things are all pointing in one direction, Mother Nature sort of takes a turn and just changes everything, as we've seen all week. In tonight's Al the Match, doctors thought that Barbara Day would never be able to carry a baby. And that's because she has a very rare disease that stunted her growth because she is only three feet tall and she weighs only 60 pounds. Doctors thought that she wouldn't be able to carry or deliver a baby, but they were wrong. She delivered a little girl yesterday and she named her Autumn. Oh. She's beautiful. She okay? Yes, she is just fine. Doctors say even though she was born a month premature, she's going to be all right. Great story. Yeah. Well, this next story gives new meaning to the term rap sheet. Because most of us want to cut that bill down. So you've to make sure that you let them know that any changes you've made in the past year that you get married, get divorced. Maybe you left one job and you took a retirement plan and rolled it over someplace. You don't have to give them that information. So they have something to work with to really try to help you save every last time possible on your tax bill. What kind of documentation do we need? Well, a lot of people show up with their tax advisors empty handed the first time. That's a big mistake. Right. Exactly. What you want to do is at least bring last year's tax return. You want to bring your w-2s for this year and a 1099 for your checking accounts and investment accounts. Now when you need some more food because are starting to go bare, you go out and you restock.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997#t=291.7,383.47"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997/transcript/71285/annotation/61","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Well, now the stores are starting to restock as well. Really? We're not going to tow that car.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997#t=486.1,567.4"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997/transcript/71285/annotation/63","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Okay, what we're doing, we're we're telling the cars that are really at in a travel lane. Well. Very good. At the same time when you get if you go down and down, trucks land and that's with chains on a heavy truck, all to make an emergency run that often isn't.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997#t=654.45,746.26"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997/transcript/71285/annotation/65","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"A lot of people just get nervous because they hear the snow coming, and they want their tank topped off, and you go there and you put, you know, 80, 90 gallons in there. A lot of family members will be.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997#t=746.74,821.81"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997/transcript/71285/annotation/66","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"They'll be electing the speaker of the House, and the president of the Senate will be giving speeches. We had a half a foot of snow and people didn't even flinch. But really, it's all a matter of perspective, isn't it? And our perspective on snowfall right now is two here, four inches. Hey, no problem. We can get through that. Keep that in mind when we start talking about what's going to be coming our way tomorrow night and into Friday. Okay, right now we're looking at some of the interesting temperatures in the area, 34 and over 33 in Washington, 30, I mean, 34 and over, 34 in Washington, 33 in Baltimore, 30. Hagerstown, 32. Wilmington pretty much 29 to 34 a good range, low temperatures. Interesting in that over the past couple of hours, these temperatures have just become a statistic. So in some instances, if the wind can move some of that snow, all the better for, structural integrity of some roofs. The bad news is you got to plow a little bit like Mike. She was showing us. He's been digging out of his own neighborhood. Some of that snow is going to blow back where you've just come from. It's just a good news. Bad news situation. Tomorrow. We start out with high pressure governing our weather. We're gonna start out with a decent amount of sunshine. By the afternoon, though, clouds start marching into the region. There's still not enough data to give you a real accurate forecast as to are we going to get snow or are we going to get freezing rain? And how much of either are we going to get? I can put it in my garage because I can't get down the side street.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997#t=2011.37,2110.63"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997/transcript/71285/annotation/79","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"I can't get down an alley, so I'll get a ticket and have to pay $200 to move my car. Sally. Mike. Not that they're going to get a lot of sympathy tonight, but towing those cars is hard on the crews as well.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997#t=2110.99,2197.87"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997/transcript/71285/annotation/80","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Well, the thing about it is they're not going to get a lot of sympathy from the people who have their cars parked on the street. The goal is to get every road plowed at least once by tomorrow.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997#t=2198.29,2280.55"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997/transcript/71285/annotation/81","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"And in Carroll County, they're still plowing away. He was battling a three alarm fire in the city today. Sadly, the fire broke out in a house at 1100 and fourth Street, started just before noon. Quickly went to three alarms because firefighters, just as yesterday's four a climber, needed help trudging all the equipment through the snow. The deadly carbon monoxide fumes that come out of your exhaust pipe can seep into your car. And so the centers for Disease Control and Prevention is warning everyone who's sick in a stopped car with the engine running to open a window.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997#t=2760.17,2849.42"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136406/file/252997/transcript/71285/annotation/87","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"And what that will do is allow fresh air to come in. As a matter of fact, 19 people in New York City suffer carbon monoxide poisoning in the past few days while sitting in their cars with the engine running. A sign that life is slowly but surely returning to normal in Baltimore County, despite all the snow. Trash haulers are making their rounds for the first time since the blizzard today. Ron match reports. One of the small joys in life is having your trash picked up by surprise. It wasn't easy getting a trash truck up Highview Avenue in overly today. That may include then tax cuts for businesses. But we still don't know if they're going to cut our personal income taxes. We can't find that out until we see how badly federal cuts will hurt Maryland. The second priority for the speaker is juvenile crime. So you'll be cut down accumulations, maybe a quick four inches or so, and then you see some rain, some sleet and freezing rain. Taste the best. It's bad enough having to sit at home for days because of the snow. Cabin fever is definitely setting in. But what if your cabin's cold? Well, some people who ran out of heating oil during the blizzard saw a very welcome sight today. Tom Scott reports. The oil truck finally came a Colin two. Most welcome sights in this winter gone wrong. Sunshine and an oil truck outside. Ready to add fuel to the fire that warms one's home. It's also another job. And how about when you have to get back in an alley? Can you get in most alleys in the city, in the suburbs today? No. Detail is almost untouchable. And of course, he knows what they're doing. About 150 or so. But during the blizzard, it's better to know the old man's already come and go and have it. Dan's got channel 13 David Driskell. Healthwatch reporter Kelly Lynn is here to tell us what that miracle is. Welcome to the asylum. Thank you. I'm back. Yeah. You know, Sally, that's one reason. But the other reason that you should be getting a tax advisor only to be your partner to help you pay every cent possible off your tax bill. And when you make that initial appointment, ask them what they believe you need to bring with you. They'll be happy to tell you. So that way you get the most out of your first meeting with them. And when should that first meeting take place? Sabrina. The sooner the better. Most of us wait till March or April, the peak season, so they can give you maybe an hour or two tops. You know, the mail isn't picked up on Monday, I believe. Big topic. As a matter of fact, I called a couple of representatives from BGA, Bell Atlantic and some of the local banks. Bottom line is, if you haven't been able to get out to pay your bills, call your lender, call your bank.
