You'd rather be muggy than have hell. we have here. But anyway, tomorrow's the big day down at the harbor, right? OK, we'll see what we can do. We'll take a look ahead for tomorrow. I'm getting out of town, so it might be OK. Anyway, take the instant eye outside. but uh... anyway Ok, we'll see what we can do. So it might be. and uh... we'll show you what it looks like right now the clouds have broken up for a while so that's good news the bad news is they'll be back there's some folks now that's the way to spend the evening how you doing i guess they can't hear us down there wherever that is temperature right now seventy two degrees in town seventy out by the suburbs the winds are from the east at ten humidity sixty nine percent the barometer is three oh point one nine and it's on the rise The next high tide starts tomorrow morning at 6 .01, and the sun rises at 5 .43. The day's starting to get shorter already, and it sets at 8 .37. We'll take a look at the temperatures now around the area, mainly into the 60s to the west. 67 in Martinsburg up in Allegheny County and Garrett County, 66, 69 up in Pittsburgh. It is 70 in Martinsburg, excuse me, Morgantown, West Virginia. 67 over by the eastern shore. The water temperature is 68 degrees. uh... in the next few days they say you're your weather man's going down to enjoy the the ocean uh... monday and tuesday so the sun's supposed to come out by wednesday isn't this great sixty nine degrees and over and seventy three down in good old dc take a look at the radar map and show you the precipitation that has been around as you can see kind of right right nearest there's some showers and down in virginia along the coast there's some showers building that's from a low pressure system that's been down there for a while finally moving up the east coast this is what happened yesterday the storm that didn't come. will come at least for monday that's going to start to move up so tomorrow and it also looks like tuesday will be under this influence of showers and some thundershowers to out to the west pretty nice weather some scattered showers and thundershowers it's been hot all over the southwest hundred -degree temperatures in fact all the way up to the rockies that's got some thundershowers out there because of the unstable air here's what the forecast map looks like for tomorrow the way things should be happening the low pressure moving up there's a little warm front connected with that It's going to move on up the coast and get out of here, but for a while. It's going to move very slowly. It'll stick with us. There's just nothing to push it out of the way. The next weather system coming down is way up in Canada. In fact, we just added the cold front there. It just started to form. So that's going to be the next thing. Once it drops down, the temperatures will cool off by the middle of the week. Things will clear up. The humidity will go down. So it'll be real nice come Wednesday or Thursday when I get back from the ocean. So let's take a look now at our forecast for tonight. Partly to mostly cloudy, starting to get cloudy again, overnight low of 65. Maybe a shower or two will pop up tonight, too. For tomorrow, showers, thunder showers, and a high of 78 degrees on the five day forecast. Here's how it looks. Showers for tomorrow. In fact, the next two days exactly the same, showers, thunder showers. By Wednesday, the cold front should come through 84 degrees, but lower humidity for Wednesday, Thursday, and just plain old nice by Friday. It will be 87 degrees, but the humidity will be low. So it should be nice and I'm not going to get into what next weekend's like. I don't want to go that far ahead. Let's look at the wake up call for tomorrow on your way to work at 8 a .m. in the morning. If you're heading that way showers 68 degrees. So have yourself a nice week. If you're down the Asian, I'll see you there.
text/plain
https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/144438/file/266950#t=935.56,1124.44
https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/144438/file/266950/transcript/77106/annotation/35
Speaker 1: Okay, Danny Ocean rigged on. They probably got banned in Boston. That's what probably happened. Mike Bottiger did something today that you rarely see in Boston's Fenway Park. Mike shut out the heavy -hitting Red Sox. Bod spaced eight hits very neatly. The wind raised Mike's record to eight and seven. And the Orioles scored early. And Mike Bottiger made the run stand up for a three to nothing win. We move on to the first inning. The O's jump to a quick start. Kyle Ripken with his line, single, left field. Scores Lee Lacey, who reached on an infield single and took second on an error. The O's lead it, one to nothing. After Eddie Murray walked, Gary Renneke lines this shot off the left field monster in Boston. Boom! Another run scores as Ripken crosses the plate. It is now two to nothing in favor of the Byrds. In the Byrd's second with one out, Floyd Sugar Bear -Rayford with one of his two hits on the day and it gets another rally started. The next hitter is Lenny Cicotta, and Lenny just misses a home run by about a foot. When Steve Lyons, the Red Sox center fielder, picks his ball up, he commits a cardinal sin of outfielder. When you throw the ball in, you're supposed to throw it to someone on your own team. This one gets away and Rayford scores. Mike Botticker had a great day. Here he strikes out Billy Buckner, one of the toughest hitters in baseball to strike out. Look at this 3 -6 -3 double play. Ripken back to Eddie. That's a great play. Thank you. Here it is, the final. As Bott gets the last out, pinch hitter Rick Miller grounds over to Bottacher, over to Eddy for the final out. And we'll take a look at some scores. Here you see the Orioles over Boston. Toronto took two or three from Detroit this weekend. Six to five, Toronto over the Tigers. Milwaukee beat the Yankees seven to five. Minnesota, Ed Chicago four to three. Kansas City took California three to one. And Cleveland beat Seattle seven to three. It was Oakland seven to four over Texas. And in that ballgame. Dave Kingman had his 19th homerun for the year and number 400 of his career. We move over to the National League. We got the New York Mets losing to the St. Louis Cardinals 2 -1 in 11 innings, Philadelphia edging Montreal 3 -2, Chicago Cubs, the Cubbies over the Pirates 9 -2, Houston took two from San Francisco 6 -2 and 7 -4, and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves 4 -3. Pedro Guerrero, his 15th home run for the month of... and it was Cincinnati over San Diego 3 to 2. In the top of the ninth in San Diego, Pete Rose with a ground single left off Goose Gossage to drive in the winner. For Rose, two hits today is now only 39 hits away from Ty Cobb's record. The Stars will start the defense of their USFL title tomorrow night with a playoff game against the New Jersey Generals. The little general, Doug Flutie, will not play tomorrow, according to Coach Walt Michaels. Thanks for watching! playoff game in Oakland today where the fans were enjoying a nail -biting finish to the Tampa Bay Oakland game. We pick it up early in the second half. Bobby Abear shows a nice touch on this 40 -yard TD pass to AC. That's Anthony Carter out of the University of Michigan with this great catch. 17 to 14 Oakland takes the lead but Tampa Bay storms right back. First and goal on the 7th. John Reeves rolls out, decides to take it in himself. Is he in there for the touchdown? Let's see, yeah, touchdown. Tampa Bay, 21 to 20, and a close one at the end of three periods. Tampa Bay comes back again. This is Willie Gillespie, making the invaders dizzy. Steve Sperry on the sidelines. Nova Boyovic, no misses this field goal. With time running out, the invaders advance to the semifinal. We look at the Memphis Denver score, 48 to seven, Memphis over Denver. 1 ,300 competitors pushed their bodies to the limit today during the Baltimore Triathlon. The race consisted of a 1 .5K swim, a 40K bike race, and then a 10K run. And when they came to the end, at the inner harbor, it was Sean Molina of Pittsburgh, California, the overall winner. The top male from Baltimore was Phil Howe. He finished in 24th position. On the female side, pre -race favorite Joanne Ernst dissipated no one as she.
text/plain
https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/144438/file/266950#t=1303.71,1555.88
https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/144438/file/266950/transcript/77106/annotation/40
https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/144438/file/266950#t=1557.07,1558.15
https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/144438/file/266950/transcript/77106/annotation/41
https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/144438/file/266950#t=1558.64,1560.5
https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/144438/file/266950/transcript/77106/annotation/42
Speaker 2: No, not at all.
