Anyway, Insinia is out at Timonium right now. We'll take a look and see all the people going to the fair. It looks pretty fair. Looks like a lot of fun. Right now, in town at Television Hill, we're at 79 degrees. It's 77 out in the suburbs. And the winds are from the south at 12. Humidity is 56%. The barometer is 3 .0 .05, and it's falling. Here's your next low and high tide. And the sun will set tonight at 750 And we'll rise again. at 629. It will rise again. Here's a look at a Maryland map of some of the temperatures in our region. It's 70 out in the western panhandle of Maryland. In fact, Deep Creek Lake right here. Hello, where am I going? Here I am. Seventy -two degrees in Martinsburg. It's 70 in Morgantown, West Virginia. And it's 80. Oh, that was fun. 80 down in Salisbury. And 78 degrees in Dover. Right now the winds are on the bay southeast ten to eighteen they'll probably remain that way. tomorrow also we'll take a quick look at local radar just in case something has popped up here in the last couple of days we'll look at the national radar that's alright here's a cold front and the cold front is connected with a low pressure system that's really caused some havoc across the plain states in the midwest the way it looks now is that the fair weather up here with a high pressure should be able to keep that back so we won't have the torrential rains like we could have had but we'll have some humidity tomorrow and some thunder showers and some rain as the thing gets a little closer. We'll look at it on the cloud cover map. and uh... it is really well -defined on the cloud cover map there it is right down here and the fair weather up here now what could happen is uh... the second thing that could happen is the low pressure could come down over right over us and give us a real rain tomorrow but we don't look like that doesn't look like that's gonna happen here's the forecast map the way it should be anyway look at nice high pressure back there right here fair skies it's not gonna be with us though it's out there there's a uh... warm front that's trying to move itself up and again the scenario is that we're to get the high to get itself together. and it's going to keep it back so that looks pretty good hot temperatures out in the southwest hot hundred twelve degrees in phoenix today ninety nine in l a let's take a look at our forecast for tonight not going to be a hundred and twelve here mostly cloudy showers late so if you're going out to the fair you're just going out tonight it'll be okay up until about two or three in the morning overnight low is going to be sixty six degrees frank will probably still be out there two or three in the morning Tomorrow, cloudy, humid, a shower or two, and some drizzle, really. high of eighty eight two degrees and we could have a hot week coming up a look at the five -day forecast eighty two for tomorrow eighty two in humid again on monday these temperatures could rise depending on what happens but eighty right now for tuesday wednesday thursday seventy eight degrees and partly sunny but it's made another hazy hot and humid week now here's hazy hot humid frank
text/plain
https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/144440/file/266954#t=1031.43,1227.11
https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/144440/file/266954/transcript/77122/annotation/51
Speaker 2: Thank you, Dandy. They are playing the Oakland A's out on the West Coast. That ball game right now is in the 10th inning. It is all tied up at two. Mike Young has driven in both runs for the Orioles. The O's, or the A's have scored by home runs from Dave Kingman and Dave Collins. Again, that game, the O's and A's tied in the 10th at two all. Meanwhile, a playful crowd in the Oakland Coliseum last night where the Orioles rallied to win by scoring seven times in the ninth inning. Oakland's Alfredo Gribbin right here at bat against Mike Botiker, twisting fly ball just over the reach of Cal Ripken. Mike Heathen to score for Oakland, they lead 2 -0 after three innings. Jose Rijo overpowering in the five innings he pitched last night, he fans Al Pardo. The O's had no runs and only one hit before the start of their big ninth inning last night. Floyd Rayford would lead it off against Steve Murrah and he whacks it off the left center field fence. Dwayne Murphy now the throw. Watch Rayford, the slide and he just beats it safe with a double. Allen Wiggins follows. Base hits with a left side and Rayford is in to score the Orioles first run of the night. Earl Weaver with the jacket on in the dugout. I'll take a whopper, no cheese, order fries and a Coke. Jim Dwyer stands in meanwhile, socks a roller into the right field corner. Two runs come across for Baltimore and the O's lead at 3 -2. Dwyer would wind up with a triple. We're still in the night inning now. Mike Young at the plate and he drives it high and deep. This is a three -run home run. Caps off a big seven run ninth inning for the O's. More than enough for Mike Botticker to win his 11th game of the 85 campaign. The O's win it last night. There's the final 7 -2 again this afternoon. They are locked in a 10th inning battle with Oakland. That game tied at 2 -all. Elsewhere in the American this afternoon, Lance Parrish blasted two home runs as Detroit clobbered California by the final count of 7 -2. manager sparky anderson and as detroit ball club starting the day ten and a half games at a first place first inning lou whittaker for detroit here rocks kirk mccaskill a shot into the upper level right field bleachers one of four home runs for the tigers this afternoon now we're still in the first inning trample is on first and lands parish comes up to the plate he cracks it far over left field tough first inning for the california angels today but they would rally in their half of the first inning. Detroit's Jack Morris doing the pitching today and Rod Carew will wallop the fastball. He draws the Angels to within a score of three to two. We're still in the first inning, some good power from Rod Carew. Morris would not allow another run. Meanwhile, Parrish at bat here in the third. Again, he crushes the baseball. Well, uh. at uh... z one oh four radio putting together a thing for the woodsboro fire company that that big mud bog up there so it doesn't matter rain or shine go out and enjoy the folks slipping around in the mud vegan that let's take a look inside is still outside at this time and uh... we'll see what's going on temperature right now on top of uh... tv hill seventy one out in the suburb sixty nine the winds are from the south at eight humidity seventy three percent the barometer three oh point 06 and it is steady. Next high tide this morning and tomorrow morning at three thirty seven low tide at ten forty two a .m. and the sun will rise at six twenty nine tomorrow and sets at seven fifty. Well we'll take a look at the local radar. There's really not much to see because it's just such light rain it's not really picking it up. There is a high concentration of some heavier showers down the tidewater area down the lower Potomac area and in the bay. But as far as we're concerned just all over the place some light rain has come in. and i'll show you as we open up on the radar just how extensive it is all the way down the east coast on the national radar on the air is national radar you can see goes all the way down right along the cold front showers thundershowers and hopefully this stuff will move out uh... by the middle of the week we're looking for tuesday hopefully we get rid of all of it nice sky high pressure look on the cloud cover map and uh... again it's pretty well -defined all right here on the east coast nothing but showers and thundershowers all along there and uh... we do have some hot weather to out west to show you this on the forecast map it is hot one hundred twenty two degrees in the southwest at palm springs one hundred twenty two degrees hundred twelve degrees in phoenix today and it's going to be that way for a while and as far as we're concerned the cold front that we're getting the showers from now should be moved out of here by tuesday but this is the little devil that did it to us tonight this warm front moved itself up a little quicker than we expected and that's why we're about three hours off Thank you very much. but uh... we have some rain some not real thundershowery or heavy downpours but we'll have some rain for the next couple hours about twenty four hours anyway behind that nice clear skies i said high pressure so let's take a look at the forecast for tonight forecast for tonight is like this it is raining it's going to be cloudy obviously some showers overnight low of sixty seven and for tomorrow it's going to be cloudy humid a shower or two High should be 82 degrees. If we don't see as much sun as we wanted to, then it's not going to get that high. The upper 70s, maybe. 82 tomorrow, humid. Monday, humid. 82 again, then starting to clear up. Hazy on Tuesday, partly sunny Wednesday and Thursday. So all in all, not a bad week. It's a typical dog day of August, all week long, every day. I'm on Old English Road, Old English Oak Road rather, in about the 6600 block. Now behind me you can see the fire trucks and as at this moment we don't know a whole lot of information, but what we do know is not very good I'm afraid. About a little after nine o 'clock tonight a fire broke out in the bottom floor of three apartment units. Three units are stacked, one on top of the other. in that bottom floor. were found in two bodies. Now, the fire officials aren't saying yet whether the bodies were men or a man and a woman. They say that the bodies are so badly burned. At this point, they don't even know. And they haven't even gotten in there yet to do any sort of investigation work. They're still waiting for the coroner on that. The cause of the fire also remains a complete mystery at this hour. There were no other injuries in the fire. The two apartments located above the one where the bodies were found, no one was injured there. No firefighters injured. The, uh... The fire department said that the bodies were found just inside a sliding glass door that led onto a patio. They were very near getting out of that building when, for some reason, they did not make it. Now, it's going to be a little while, yet they're still mopping up the fire. They're still waiting for the coroner to arrive. When the coroner does arrive, then of course there will be a rather lengthy investigation, and I'm afraid until that is completed, there won't be a whole lot more information to pass along.
