This is Eyewitness News. The Eagles have landed at Ravens Stadium. It's a battle of the birds that's guaranteed to get red hot. Good evening, everybody. When the Ravens turn up the heat on the Eagles tonight, they'll get plenty of help from Mother Nature. Baltimore is feeling some oppressive heat today. We have team coverage on the heat and the big game beginning with Stan Saunders live outside the stadium. Hi, Stan. Hello, Sal. And I notice you put emphasis on the word obsessive heat. Check this out behind me. What you see are several eggs here. Three eggs that will be hatched tonight at halftime. And once the hatching is all over with, the new Ravens mascot will pop out. So don't hold your breath waiting. Now, here's the deal. We're talking about heat. We're talking about a whole bunch of hot fans, right? We're talking about a bunch of hot people, hot weather all around town. And hopefully this heatwave weatherwise will settle down by tonight's game sometime tonight. You know, they say these are the dog days, the dog days. That's what they call it. What's known as the dog days of summer looks something like this. Hayes That hovers above Ravens Stadium. The Ravens are ready, though. They've got giant fans to cool off overheated players. It's hot outside the stadium, too, but they say it might be about 105 or so. That's a little bit rough. The haze is practically everywhere, causing plenty of heat and humidity. Try to take it easy as possible because you can actually feel it in your breathing and all the star urges. Yeah. What have you been feeling? Well, you start feeling weak. It's hot. But I've seen hotter. If you're going to tonight's game, be careful and be smart. Especially if you're going to enjoy certain stadium beverages. It's okay to have a couple beers, but you need to incorporate drinking water as well as drinking beer. Alcohol will dehydrate. T shirts, short pants. You can count the number of people with shirts, ties and coats on. But I guarantee you, I have something down there on the ground that are so of all my legs. And you won't be seeing them south. That's my Lord, Sam. All right. Listen, on a serious note, how does the city fire department handle days like this, particularly if there's a lot of heat related calls at the stadium? Well, from what I understand, this is the toughest time of year for the city fire department. And what they say is think cool. Dress light, being smart. Now, when it comes to what we thought would turn into a red alert or what probably was one a little bit earlier in the day when all of their crews get tied up and like every ambo and every EMT and every paramedic is out on the field or out in the street doing their thing, what they do is put their red alert backup plan into effect. And what they do is just get a whole bunch of paramedics from other counties. They come in and help out so that nobody, absolutely nobody will be stranded. So think cool and dress smart. That's what they say. Got it. All right. Thanks a lot, Stan, reporting live from outside the stadium. She's back, everybody. Welcome back, by the way. Dr. Bob is live out back with more on today's steamy temperatures. Dr. Bob, how are you? A little warm guy. I'm little warm. I'm out here under the trees in the backyard, though. Try to stay as cool as you possibly can when the air temperature as it is right here on TV Hill is 91 degrees. We have dew points in the upper 60s all the way through the mid 70s in some spots and that is very humid. That gives us a heat index that is somewhere around 100 to 102 degrees in many areas right now. And that is going to be the problem. I guess it's a good idea that this is a night game tonight rather than a day game. At least there'll be a bit of relief, say, out at the stadium later on today as the temperature will fall, say, down into the mid 80s, say by half time or so. But otherwise, night out looks like this. We've got some high clouds around, but a good bit of haze just looks like a typical hot August summer evening. No doubt about that. Warming humid your 9:00 temperature, 82 degrees now going to be coming back in about 15 minutes because there's another story that was big in the weather news today, and that's Bonnie. Hi. I was at the Hamburg Light rail stop and this is 2.5 hours before the games and already dozens and dozens of people have come to the stadium via the light rail. And let me tell you, this time they're getting off the light rail with smiles on their faces versus probably frowns on August 8th. We've got some people here, Nick, James, Juanita and Carl. You guys just jumped off the light rail. You seemed very happy. You were angry August 8th. But tell me the difference. Well, we're very excited now because it's more running more efficiently. So how long did you have to wait or how long did it take? You get here last time And this time it actually took me like an hour and a half to get here, whether they took me like 45 minutes. All right. And and, Carl, you said, how long did it take you to get. Of about 20 minutes was great. Just right up dropped us right off. And you were one of those angry customers last August 8th, the very the first preseason game. Yeah, Yeah. But it was great this time. Picked them right off. Drop the trade off. Okay. So you gave them another chance. Yep. Can't beat it. Okay, well, thank you very much. Enjoy the game, guys. Well, the first preseason game, 13,000 people took the light rail, 5000 more then it than it could handle. And that means that lots of people were very angry. They had to wait hours and hours. Now, the MTA took several precautions. First of all, they're asking people to take the busses. Hopefully that would shift some of the load, the overload. And also they have light rail employees at every stop. And that's something that they said will help.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056#t=383.9,479.27"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056/transcript/71192/annotation/6","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"If there's overloads or anything, they can tell them, go ahead, take the busses. Kathy, it sounds like it's going to run a little smoother. Kathy, does the MTA plan to add any more light rail trains to the line any time soon? I know that was one of the suggestions. Yeah, well, they have 16 trains and say they said the good news in October they plan to add two more so that will relieve it even more. Okay. All right, Kathy, we will see you in just a moment. Kathy, We'll be back in a little bit with an update on the light rail. So just how the park and ride busses are faring this evening is up next. Mike Show is at the big stadium lot where the busses drop everybody off. He joins us with that story. Mike, we got a bus coming right here when one. Hey, guess what? We're out here directing traffic out here, and we, we decided to come in and talk to you. This is the bus slot. They're going to add about 200 busses right here. And here are some of the people. They're getting away right now. So let me go run. Let me ask you a question. Why the bus? Faster, Easier. Did you take the bus last time? No. But you decided after the light rail fiasco. Right. Were you light rail? Yes. The man learns the same with you, sir. No hassle on the bus. And I think you can get out of here for getting back out of here would be much better. Talk to you tomorrow. All right, guys. Enjoy yourself. I think you also are a little nutty. It's like 2.5 hours before game time for a couple of beers. They're going to have a couple of beverages. Can you tell? Hey, they're going to put like 200 or so busses in here. Last time they did this, they put about 100 busses. But someone's yelling at me, okay? Someone's yell at me. Last time they put about 149 busses in here. But the capacity has increased because of the problems that they had back at light rail. And one of the things I wanted to point out to you is the MTA is trying to sell the idea of coming down here on the busses because look, there's the stadium. All of the lots where the busses are dropped off. You have about a block, a block and a half walk to the stadium, which is not bad. Anthony Brown You're adding more busses today because of the light rail problems. Indeed, we are told too many people on light rail last time, so we encourage more people to use express busses. So we've added probably about 50 to 75 busses to about 200 that we ran before. So we can carry about 14,000 people on our express busses. Wow, that's a lot. Okay, we got to get back to you. We're going to be down here. The first bus arrived at 447. We'll talk to you in a little bit. All right. Mike Shu reporting live. We've had a steady flow of southbound moving through O'Donnell Street. So a lot more people using the cars heading into downtown and getting parking spaces early. What you're seeing there is last year's regular season game against the Tennessee Oilers, and that's what they're showing here in the pre game. Now, what's your point? We got the we got the game here on Channel 13 tonight against the Philadelphia Eagles. Some things to look for in tonight's game that you didn't see in the first two preseason games. First of all, it can't be as important as preseason games are. This one carries probably the most importance. Here's the reason why It's a it's a long turnaround. The Ravens haven't played in a since a week ago on Saturday. Had a lot of time to prepare for the Eagles. And in this third preseason game, you can look for the first string offense and defense to play a majority of the time majority meaning into at least the first half at the end of the first half and perhaps into the third quarter. So look for Jim Harbaugh and the regular receivers to be out here for almost or at least into the third quarter play. They want to get themselves sharp for the regular season in this preseason game because there is a very quick turnaround to Friday's final preseason game. And for all intents and purposes, that game against the Giants up at the Meadowlands will be strictly for guys just to kind of work out the kinks, kind of get ready for the regular season and keep from getting hurt.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056#t=724.69,816.28"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056/transcript/71192/annotation/10","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"And the first year guys to try to make the team. Dr. Bobs back with details on a storm that's already a killer Bob. Well, Kyra, with Bonnie offshore, the biggest problem right now is heavy surf, the winds that are being churned up by Bonnie, of course, churning up the ocean. And in fact, two people have already drowned in riptides in our area. One of them, a 24 year old Maryland man, was down at Rehoboth Beach yesterday. And Alex Dietrich spent the day down to the ocean to see what's being done to keep vacationers safe. Riptides are up and running off Ocean City and Delaware beaches. Yesterday in Rehoboth, a Wheaton, Maryland, man was caught up and drowned. As we're watching, we saw one man, a young young man, play. I was arms up out of the water. And then just like that, we lost sight of him and we didn't see him after that. At Ocean City, lifeguards made a number of rescues yesterday, and we're busy again today as two colliding weather fronts stir up riptides and surf our high pressure system to the north.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056#t=1226.72,1338.14"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056/transcript/71192/annotation/15","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Plus, the approach of Bonnie from our basically our southeast. And that's creating an increase in tides. We're pushing the water and a little further and depending on where Hurricane Bonnie goes, things could get rougher. Today, it's a little bit tight today. The currents underneath, they'll pull you out if you start like on one side of the beach, like within ten minutes, you're down here. It's really quick moves. Quick. It's rough out there. Yeah, real rough. Even if Hurricane Bonnie makes things rougher here, the beach patrol isn't too worried about that. The stronger the water gets, the more likely people are to stay out of it. And if they don't, the beach can always be closed down. In the meantime, there are now fewer lifeguards than there were a week ago, although our lifeguards are a little further apart now due to reduced staffing. People going back to school. We are asking and encouraging people to only swim where there's a lifeguard, only swim when lifeguards are on duty. Putting a greater emphasis on our beachgoers. Common sense. I'm standing right on the water's edge today. Usually I would sit back and watch them, but not today. It's rough. It's gotten rougher just in the last hour since we've been here. As yesterday in Rehoboth proved, when trouble happens, it happens fast. And Hurricane Bonnie could speed it up. Alex, to me for Eyewitness News. But before you step onto that Stairmaster or pedal away on a stationary bike, Dr. Deena says leave the office behind. Not that long ago. The most popular way to let off some steam after work was a drink or two at the local bar or restaurant. Today, the new way of relaxing is exercising a lot more than just your elbows. Millions of people workout at the local gym not only to stay in shape, but also to reduce stress and anxiety. But some folks can't leave work at work. You know the kind they'll read reports while on the Stairmaster or they'll study for tests while on the exercise bike, doing all kinds of mental tasks while they're also performing physical tests. The real question is, does all of that mental work negate the physical benefit? To find out, scientists put a group of students on exercise bikes after assessing their anxiety levels. Some rode, some just sat there. Some studied and pedaled at the same time. Then the scientists once again assessed their anxiety level. What they found was that exercising while studying did not reduce anxiety levels compared to just exercising alone.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056#t=1432.97,1541.12"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056/transcript/71192/annotation/17","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Exercising, they concluded, works not by some internal magic hormone, but by distracting you from your daily worries. Turk is away for a couple of days here, so I'm in his place. He's got a few vacation days yet to use this summer, and I hope he's down the ocean staying someplace cool. But right now, there really are two weather stories that we're following, of course, are little bit of a heat wave that we've had here. And given the fact it's been fairly cool this summer, that's kind of not, you know, not so unusual for us. But the other big story, of course, is Hurricane Bonnie. And I'm going to show you what the bigger, wider view perspective on the Caribbean right now showing Hurricane Bonnie is. And Bonnie really hasn't moved a whole heck of a lot in the last 24 hours. It's been very, very slowly drifting to the north northwest at about 5 to 6 miles an hour.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056#t=1840.25,1936.53"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056/transcript/71192/annotation/21","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Here's the 5:00 report with the new coordinates that just came in, 26.3 degrees north latitude, 72.9 west longitude. But winds are still cooking along at 115 miles an hour with gusts to 140. There's the motion that we just talked about now. The other thing about Bonnie that's rather impressive is it's a big storm in a sense that it's about 3 to 400 miles in diameter, and that's fairly sizable. Now, as long as it stays out there in the ocean, that's okay for us. Although we have another view here, a little bit closer shot that puts it in perspective of the East Coast of the United States. And it's worthwhile to look at this because hurricane watch flags have just been hoisted from Virginia Beach all the way down to Savannah now. So right now it looks like as far as Maryland is concerned, heavy surf advisories are the biggest thing that we should expect to have posted. We've already got surf kicking up, but we'll be watching this. And that's all you can do with these things right now is monitor them and keep an eye and see what's going to happen as far as we're concerned over the next few days. Temperature, though, that's the other big story, 91 degrees still here on TV Hill, 93 over in Dover. Look at Richmond, 97 degrees. Actually got the 97 degrees down in Dulles Airport in northern Virginia. And that was a record for them the second day in a row that they hit a record. Now, their airport hasn't been here that long. That's why it's easy for them to set records. But there's our unofficial number so far today, 95 degrees, 11 degrees above normal. Now, should you be going out in the water tomorrow? Back in the bay.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056#t=1937.13,2023.77"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056/transcript/71192/annotation/22","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"We'll continue a southerly flow 10 to 15 knots, one foot sharp water temperature to this point, light with the increased air temperature, it's up to 80 degrees once again. Here is the radar picture because with the humidity, we ask about thunderstorms, of course. And there have been a fair number of thunderstorms west of the mountains. But as they slide down what looks like a front toward us. As soon as they come over the mountains, they have been dissipating. So I'm only going to hold out the prospect of a widely scattered thunderstorm across our area tonight. Very few people may experience one. Most of us won't. So the humidity will be persistent throughout the evening and overnight period. There's the wider view satellite. You can see Bonnie down in the lower right hand corner behind our number 13 logo. But the other rest of the weather picture is a real typical summertime heat wave for the eastern and southeastern, actually all the way into the south central part of the country. Heated humidity for us. We've got those clouds from sort of a mini area of cloudiness that's producing some showers up through Pennsylvania, New England. We may get a weak frontal passage tomorrow, which may dry us out as we go on into Thursday. 92 degrees will be our temperature tomorrow. Another warm day. So for tonight, high clouds, partly too, mostly cloudy, hot and humid, maybe a thunderstorm widely scattered in some spots overnight low, a rather warm 72. And for tomorrow, clouds and sunshine, hazy, hot and humid, 92, actually, rather like today. And then as we get into midweek, really what Bonnie does is going to be the determining factor. We'll talk a little bit more about that when we come back later on with the five day forecast.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056#t=2024.4,2119.29"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056/transcript/71192/annotation/23","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"That's how it looks from here. Back to you. All right, Doctor Bob, 533. For those of you just joining us, welcome home. Here's a quick update of tonight's top stories. The MTA hopes the second time around is the charm for getting people to and from the Ravens game. Let's check in now with Kathy Fowler live at the light rail stop at Camden Yards for an update. Hi, Kathy. Hi. So it's two hours before the game and already hundreds and hundreds of people are arriving here at the stadium via the light rail train. Just dropped off a bunch of very shy people. Needless to say, they don't want to talk to me. But by this time during the first preseason game, people were already waiting and waiting. Some people an hour or two hours just to get on the light rail to get to the game. But today, everybody getting off the light rail has a smile on their face. It seems like there's no overcrowding problem. The trains are running on time. Now, it could be that it's a Monday night and a lot of people are already here. Or maybe MTA worked out the kinks or maybe a lot of people took the suggestion of. The MTA and rode the bus. And now to check on that story, we're going to throw it over to the other side of the stadium where Mike Shu is at the park and ride bus station. Indeed, that very well could be the case. As you see, there were some people who just got off this bus, which came from Owings Mills. The busses have been coming through here, even though it is still early and they have been full. They expect of all the people who are going to be inside that stadium tonight, a full 20% will have taken the bus.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056#t=2119.92,2198.81"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056/transcript/71192/annotation/24","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"And at six bucks for a round trip, that's not a bad deal because as we remember last time, it took an hour and a half to get the light rail passengers, the last light rail passengers on to their trains and on home now. But what has happened here is the very most tardy. This bus that was here only took 40 minutes for the last game. So it is a very good deal, according to the light rail, to take this bus. If you notice, the huge dust plumes are being stirred up here by the busses who are arriving or which are arriving by the time the game actually starts for the Pittsburgh game, the first full game of the season. This will all be Blacktop Stadium right over there. So decent deal. And it's expected that this lot is going to be full by game time. Back to you, Sally. Hey, Mike, since this is the first game that's on a weeknight, you know, and it's rush hour and all that, how does the traffic look from where you are? Good. Okay. It took months to build under the direction and supervision of a national aquarium herpetologist. 15 tiny poison dart frogs live in the little rain forest, but only two, about the size of a thumbnail, appeared while we were there. I was walking by the pond and there was this green frog sitting on a lily pad, and he just sat there and the closer I got, he didn't scare and he just stayed there. Well, Denise, happy New Year, as they seem to be passing that test. We're at the Hamburger Burge light rail stage station right next to the stadium. And we've got some people who just walked off via the light rail. Minutes ago, Chuck, you told me you wrote it last August 8th, the first pre-season game. And how long did it take you to get here? Of course, traffic is a big issue tonight with the normal rush hour combined with fans headed downtown for the Ravens game. Let's check in with Robert Rush Altman in metro traffic for the very latest Robert. Well, Vic, a lot of slow traffic, as you might imagine, heading inbound toward Lombard Street, Pratt Street as well, all downtown in toward the Ravens stadium. You will find some star traffic as well, filing in toward 395 and Russell Street, but nothing really out of the ordinary. Everything's just kind of pacing pretty well. I think everybody's kind of used to it by now. After the last game and all the MTA crisis, we had southbound Jones piles starting to build into the downtown area as well. One spot of slow traffic we've had all afternoon. Kind of odd right now on the southbound side of the Fort McHenry Tunnel. Looks like a morning rush hour backing through O'Donnell Street into the toll plaza area. So you might want to come inbound on Boston Street, moving in from that east side. That's the latest. Denise, back to you. Thank you. Well, once they get through the traffic, Ravens fans still have to face the heat. You know, they say these are the dog days, the dog days. That's what they call them. It's what's known as the dog. Days of summer looks something. Like this haze that hovers above Ravens stadium. The Ravens are ready, though. They've got giant fans to cool off, overheated players. It's hot outside the stadium, too, but they say it might be about 105 or so. That's a little bit rough. The haze is practically everywhere, causing plenty of heat and humidity. This makes it harder for people that have respiratory conditions to breathe. Try to take it easy as possible because you can actually feel it in your breathing and all the start heard. Yeah. What have you been feeling? Well, you start feeling weak. It's hot. What you have when the sun goes down, of course it will cool up, but it's going to be a very slow, cool off tonight. We've got a temperature of 91 degrees right now. By the time they get to the third quarter, right after halftime, things ought to be down into the low to mid 80s. But the humidity is going to be up. There definitely going to be a warm one out at the stadium tonight. Whatever was spent on one sport wouldn't be available to be spent on another for a dozen years. You're such a poetic guy. That's probably the nicest thing that's been said about this storm. It's down in the South Atlantic, as we've been tracking through the weekend. But it has slowed down over the last 36 hours. Really hasn't been doing much in terms of impacting the coastal US. Heavy surf all along the coast has been the biggest problem. And in fact, although the thing is still far to the south, one swimmer from that heavy surf problem has died in the Carolinas. And closer to home. Yesterday, a 24 year old Maryland man drowned at Rehoboth Beach. Now, Alex, to me reports the weather is creating some potentially dangerous surf. Riptides are up and running off Ocean City and Delaware beaches. Yesterday in Rehoboth, a Wheaton, Maryland, man was caught up and drowned.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056#t=4764.75,4874.22"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056/transcript/71192/annotation/50","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"As we were watching, we saw one man, a young young man, play his arms about the water. And then just like that, we lost sight of him and we didn't see him after that. At Ocean City. Lifeguards made a number of rescues yesterday, and we're busy again today as two colliding weather fronts stir up riptides and surf our high pressure system to the north. Plus, the approach of Bonnie from our basically our southeast. It's really quick. Moving quick. As yesterday in Rehoboth proved. When trouble happens, it happens fast. And Hurricane Bonnie could speed it up.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056#t=4875.06,4972.09"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056/transcript/71192/annotation/51","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Alex, to me for Eyewitness News. And that indeed is going to be the concern along the coast, at least for the foreseeable future. During the week until Bonnie makes its move, then we might get a better fix on whether those surf conditions are going to get much worse or whether we're going to have to really be dealing with some of the more significant impacts of Bonnie. But look for heavy surf conditions continuing for at least the next four days. Here is the wide view satellite picture showing us where Bonnie is in the context of the Caribbean. You can see it there. And if you've been watching it through the weekend, there really hasn't been any significant change in its location for the last 36 to 40 hours or so. Right now, we do have its position from the 5:00 report, which just came in last hour. There's Bonnie right there. Those are the coordinates as of 5:00. And the winds, same as they were at 11:00 last night, 115 miles an hour, but gusting to 140. That makes it a Category three hurricane. The other thing it's a significant feature of, Bonnie is the size. It has tropical storm winds out to 300 miles. So this is a big storm with decent winds. But the good news so far is that it's just not moving very fast, drifting very slowly momentarily to the north northwest at six miles an hour. Looking more closely at its potential impact for the coast. You can see Bonnie there sort of just looks looking like it's drifting away toward the north. But again, really not making significant movement. And the hurricane, the National Weather Service along the coast has issued a hurricane watch from Virginia Beach down towards Savannah, Georgia.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056#t=4972.75,5062.21"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136472/file/253056/transcript/71192/annotation/52","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"So from the south of us, down toward the tip of Florida there, a hurricane watch in effect. That means people are advised to start thinking about making preparations. But again, which way this thing is going to move is going to be something that we'll just have to determine by watching it over the next 24 to 48 hours. So let's get back closer to home because the other weather story, our summertime temperatures, we've got temperatures here on TV Hill still over 90 degrees. Even though the sun is headed toward the western horizon, warm in other spots around the area. Warmest spot in the region down toward Richmond at 97. Even at the ocean resorts, pretty warm day today and humidity to boot. Our high so far, unofficially, 95 degrees down at Dulles Airport, Northern Virginia. They got to 97, which for them was a record for the day. And incidentally, they set a record yesterday at 96. So this is warm weather and we haven't had all that much of it really this summer. I suppose we have to be a little bit patient, put up with some of it right about now. Should you be going out in the water tomorrow on the bay? Look for south winds 10 to 15 knots, one foot chop. Water temperature at 80 degrees. Now, take a look at this radar, the regional radar here. There are some showers up through northwestern Pennsylvania trying to make it across the mountain. And in fact, if we can go to first warning radar, we can get a closer view of what's happening right now around our region. First warning, radar shows one area showers. They are just north and to the east of Hagerstown. You can see Bonnie down there in the lower right hand part of the screen here. But the rest of the picture is a very typical summer heat wave weather pattern. Heat and humidity from the East Coast out to the southeast and plenty of heat out in the south central area, too. That frontal system may swing on by a. Dry us out a little bit. But really, the unknown in the middle of the week is Bonnie. Tomorrow is going to be another day like today with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s around the region. And the humidity will still be with us tomorrow. So for tonight, summertime conditions partly to mostly cloudy, hot, hazy and humid. Widely scattered. That problem led one viewer to get Goldman. This new homeowner had no recollection of agreeing to anything like this. She knew there would be a homeowners association, but she didn't realize the fee would be so high or that it covered so many things. And to make matters worse, that fine would be a lean on her home, just like her mortgage. If she ever wanted to sell it, she'd have to pay it off.
