Not one of these new ones. An original one made by hand in West Virginia. So that'll be a lotta fun. Now's your chance to get over there, okay? I know you'll be there, Jerry. Let's take a look at our current weather. We have a few high clouds around the region, and it's cool out, too. Cool as it's been in a while. 36 degrees, the winds out of the northwest at 10. Humidity 45%, the barometer 30.21, it's rising, the air quality 27, put us in the good category this afternoon. Your tide, center is 708, sets 444 in the afternoon, and it's probably going to stay around that 444 time for the next couple of weeks as we head toward winter. Looking at this afternoon, quite a breeze, temperatures only reaching the low to mid-40s, and to our west they stayed in the 30s, and there's a little bit of snow now occurring out in Garrett County. Only in Maryland, that's kind of hung up with some clouds out there and some snow flurries. They've got about an inch of snow on the ground. That's the way it looked downtown today. And this is, of course, the Christmas decorations at the Inner Harbor. Let's take a look. Looks like Santa's place. If you look real sharp, you can see some clouds and some precipitation, actually, showing up over western Maryland, also in western New York State, east of the Erie, Pennsylvania region, in southwest New York state, some snow, and east of Lake Ontario. A little bit of snow activity still occurring tonight. Of course, they've had quite a bit in the last 24 hours in that snow belt there. No other precipitation here in the east. A few showers in southern Florida, some snow in the northern Rockies of Colorado in southern Wyoming, and also some snow in Utah, a little bit in Nevada, and some snow on the higher elevations in Arizona. This is a storm we're watching. It's developing. It should pick up some moisture from the Gulf of Mexico in the next 24 hours. It could give us some precipitation here in Maryland by Saturday night or Sunday. Perhaps some snow, perhaps some rain, perhaps a mixture, perhaps just all rain. We'll have a lot of warm air coming ahead of the system. Let's take a look at our current cloud cover. Yes, current cloud covered. This is a look from space at the entire cloud cover of the United States. You see all the clouds out west. Quite an area of clouds, in fact, and this storm is developing, picking up a lot of moisture from the Pacific Ocean, moving into the Central States. Here in the east, not a whole lot of clouds. But to our north, some cloudless over New England. Pennsylvania, New York State, with that moisture coming off the Great Lakes, the cold weather coming in, bringing those snow flurries to the east of the Great Lake, generally clear from Maryland down into this Florida panhandle. But that's going to change later tomorrow. As a cold front, let's take a look at tomorrow's map. This cold front with some very chilly air will make a very quick glancing blow here along the East Coast. This is some cold Arctic air. Look at these temperatures tomorrow. However, it looks like this cold air will kind of ride into Maryland and then move quickly to the northeast. This storm, however, developing over northern Texas, where there's clouds that we saw, looks like it has two choices. Number one, the front gets through, and the cold air gets pretty well established for a little while. Then the storm rides up along that front, gives us some precipitation, could start as some snow Saturday night and change the rain on Sunday. The front, however if it gets down pretty far, this storm may just track to our south and give us just a chance of a little bit of precipitation on Sunday, could be a little bit of snow, could a little rain. It's a little questionable right now. We'll know more tomorrow. Southwest winds from our 8 to 16 temperatures dropping already into the 30s and 20s out to the west. Still upper 30s, and some low 40s to our southeast, 42 in Salisbury. Here's our forecast tonight. Clear and quite chilly, low 20 degrees to 28 in town. This will be the coldest night we've had this fall season. Tomorrow then. Sunshine followed by increasing clouds late in the day. There's a chance of a shower tomorrow night as the cold front moves through. High of 48, low tomorrow night with the clouds 34 degrees and kind of a chilly day on Saturday. Temperatures only around the low 40s. We'll have more in that storm situation tomorrow and later tonight.
text/plain
https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/149178/file/273802#t=1196.0,1460.14
https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/149178/file/273802/transcript/80231/annotation/57
Speaker 3: Thank you, sir. They can shop around, something they could have done before, but they may want to consider more seriously now that the breakup is near. You can shop for the phone itself. A basic touch-tone desk phone costs $54.95 if you buy it from AT&Ts. Phone prices vary from store to store if you plan to go elsewhere to purchase your If you lease your phone from AT&T, you'll pay $1.20 a month if you live in the city. Of course, if you lease the phone, you don't have to pay for phone repairs. If you buy it, you do. So consumers should consider that when they're thinking about whether or not they want to buy or lease their phone. You can shop around for your long-distance service. Right now, a typical daytime three-minute phone call from Baltimore to Chicago costs $1 .48 with the phone company. It costs $1.11 with MCI and $1,26 with Sprint. In other words, once the breakup goes into effect, you need to first of all decide if you want to shop around for your phone service. If so, you need make a budget for yourself. Decide how much you want spend. Then pick up the phone, make some calls, and decide which deal is best for you. Again, let's go back to the original statement made by AT&T representatives. If you do absolutely nothing, you probably won't even notice a change in your service once the vestiture takes effect. And until the rate increase requests are decided, you shouldn't even see any change in the amount of your bill. But the bill itself is going to change. It's going to be a lot longer, but it doesn't have to be complicated. We'll show you how to read this longer bill tomorrow.
text/plain
https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/149178/file/273802#t=1917.17,2020.06
https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/149178/file/273802/transcript/80231/annotation/84
Speaker 3: Thank you very much, Debbie.
