I'll explain why. Currently throughout the area, we're looking at temperatures in the mid 80s. All right. Everybody really is going to have a very cold night weatherwise. The only problem is going to lay in the humidity. And we are now really starting to get into a solid flow of warm, moist, humid air coming up from the southwest. Matter of fact, look at regional radar. You see some shower activity out here into the mountains. You can almost play connect the dots. And here's where this big push, warm, humid air is swinging around a dominant area of high pressure sitting right down to our south. This stuff's real localized over in West Virginia. Shouldn't play into our other at all. The action just north and northeast of Harrisburg. Forget about it. It's not even going to enter into our forecast this evening. Go ahead. Look at your cloud cover. Big old fat area of high pressure is now in control of all weather. Overnight last night, we're doing the 11:00 news. We put the possibility forward that the forecast could even turn out better than we were talking about it. And it did indeed happen that way. Stalled frontal system sitting right along our area just washed out. It lost its identity. That allowed high pressure down to the south to really come in and kick things off in our favor, put some fronts over this thing. You can see the high pressure center. All right. And you get this big clockwise flow around it. Now, we talked about this cold front last night and we mentioned it might never get into the area. Go ahead and throw the map in motion. Watch that cold front dive toward our area. It is indeed going to make it to Baltimore. It's not really going to mess up our weather, though. There's not going to be a whole lot of interaction between the systems. You'll see some clouds move in the area. But as far as getting overcast and getting thunderstorms is the cooler air. It's the warm, humid air. We just don't really see it in the forecast. What happens tomorrow night when the front gets here? It also loses its identity, loses its energy and still allows this big dominant area of high pressure down to the south to keep us in this warm flow of air coming up from the southwest. So take a look at forecast for tonight. It's going to be a human night, partly cloudy, overnight low of 67 tomorrow. Much the same deal, partly sunny here, ever present chance of a partly sunny day, chance of an afternoon thunderstorm, high of 88 degrees and then we go blowing on into Tuesday. Tomorrow is going to be a humid date. Now we'll show you some throw the map motion. Watch out, cold front, dive down into our area. There's not a whole lot of action happening along that frontal boundary. Tomorrow, you could see some clouds moving later in the afternoon. But what's going to happen is front gets to the region, stall, washes itself out and allows this high to control our weather for the next few days. So now take a look at your forecast tonight. The word humid needs to be in all this. Okay, Partly cloudy, warm, humid, etc., etc.. If you took out on word you were able to read tonight. Tomorrow, a partly sunny chance of a thunderstorm high of 88 degrees. Now, let's go ahead and look at the five day forecast. Just say humid on all these days, but generally nice weather, 88, 88, 86, 86. Front comes through Friday, Eye drops the humidity at 84 degrees, the more humid, partly sunny, about 7 a.m. and 70 degrees. Have a safe week. Back to the three shot by Marty. Good to have you with us. Thanks for appearing on this weekend. And up next, Chris Ely has sports.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136080/file/252482#t=2890.14,2970.21"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136080/file/252482/transcript/70815/annotation/29","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Great news. Remember last weekend, repeated this weekend. Absolutely a repeat. When we come back, we'll show you what happened at Memorial Stadium and all the rest of the sports. But first, let's take a look at today's sports scores. We'd like to give you an idea of how well the Honda Accords double wishbone suspension works. Just a rough. There's a family you should know of who regularly stop in to share their family life with a neighbor. And a group of young people whose social lives include helping people to do their taxes for. And don't forget the banker whose best hours I spent helping at a shelter. Who benefits more when people take the time to care, the giver or the receiver. Truth is, we all do best in helping others. We've doubled your cashback savings during double cashback days. Now get $2,000 cash back direct from Chrysler. I'm Eagle from air. See your local Jeep eagle dealer where you can expect the best bone. Bone, bone. I didn't do it. I didn't want. The 8889 born juice. That is very fine. The very finest. Interestingly, sports time, the Orioles end first by half a game. That's right. All we have to do is knock off the Brewers. That's right. And I hope that the Blue Jays go south like the Boston Red Sox did last weekend. Final game of the four game series. Will the Blue Jays have the first place riding on it? But thanks to some gritty pitching by Pete Harnisch, some good defense by the Orioles.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136080/file/252482#t=2970.9,3143.3"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136080/file/252482/transcript/70815/annotation/30","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"The Orioles claim to the top spot for one more day. Pete Harnisch used about a thousand pitches to go six and a third to get his third. When Joe Whistler, Jamie Quirk bailed them out in the second Nelson Liriano base it was like with a throw Tony Fernandez trying to score is out at the plate. Give credit to Jamie Quirk for blocking the plate. There's no room for Fernandez to score here. Watch this. No rule at all. Nice play by Jamie Quirk. In the third, the Orioles took a one nothing lead Dave Steve goes a little bit to inside on Jim Traver. Ball goes all the way back to the backstop. Mike Devereaux comes across with the Orioles first run on the wild pitch. Steve pitched well, but he failed to win his first game at the stadium. Nice to see Larry Sheetz contribute a three for four game with two RBI. Bottom of the fourth. Sheetz singles in front of Junior Felix, who has trouble catching the short hop. Joe was like stealing around third slides home as a throw, gets away and makes a two nothing Orioles. They later made it four to nothing. Toronto cut the lead to 4 to 2, but Cal ignites a three run seventh with this shot to left. Jamie Quirk motoring around three to make it five two to the Orioles with a good news final seven to count. The Blue Jays spend an enjoyable weekend in Baltimore but gain no ground. They remain a game and a half game and a half back. The Red Sox did the Orioles a favor by knocking off the Brewers yesterday, but today was another story. The defensive play of the game off the bat of Ricks around the Brewers.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136080/file/252482#t=3143.96,3222.92"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136080/file/252482/transcript/70815/annotation/31","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Bill spires with an ice cream cone on the line drive. The Brewers have won nine out of ten. They'll come in four three against the Orioles beginning tomorrow night. Jeff Bauer will go against Jerry Rice in a battle of lefties in the National League. The Cubs are trying to hold off the hard charging Mets in the east. And they're finding rough going in the Astrodome. Home run Derby in the Dome, the Cubs Ryan Sandberg, who hit his 23rd home run back in the second, brought the Cubs back to A44 tie in the ninth with his 24th home run. The Cubs are trying to avoid a three game sweep. But wait. The Astros loaded the bases with one out in the ninth and ten. Kevin Bess smashes his second home run of the game, a grand slam off Mitch Williams. The Astros sweep the Cubs to stay two behind the Giants. The Cubs are two and a half games ahead of the Mets. And speaking of the Mets at Shea Stadium, a historic day for the Mets. Howard Johnson Mojo connects for homerun number 30. And combined with his 32 stolen bases, Johnson joins by Bobby Bonds and Willie Mays as the only major leaguers to achieve 30 homers and 30 steals in back to back seasons. The WBC IBF lightweight title match was between challenger Jose Luis Luis Ramirez and my favorite champion, Pernell Sweet P Whittaker, before a hometown crowd at the Scope Arena. Sweet Pea in the Black Trunks pounded out a unanimous 12 round decision over Ramirez to avenge a controversial 1988 loss to Ramirez that caught him. The W cost him the WBC crown. No problems for the judges today. Sweet Pea Whittaker retains his lightweight championship in 12 rounds for our player of the weekend. We return to Memorial Stadium for today's Orioles win over the Blue Jays. Here's a play that won't show up in the box scores tomorrow, but it typifies how much the outfield defense has helped the Orioles all season long. Top of the fourth Orioles leading one. Nothing. Fred McGriff with a shot to the gap that's going to the wall, but no Phil Bradley with a remarkable catch at the warning track. He brings that crowd of over 37,000 to their feet. Just admire this play again, Phil Bradley going to the track and making the catch. No substitute for speed and defense on this team. That just doesn't score very many runs.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136080/file/252482#t=3304.67,3411.68"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136080/file/252482/transcript/70815/annotation/33","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"So they've got to have that defense and good pitching, hopefully beginning tomorrow night against the Brewers. It was India Day at Festival Hall, complete with a colorful array of Indian clothing and crafts and, of course, lots of great food to sample. But the highlight might have been the traditional music and dance of India. That's so beautiful. Those a little girls, too? Absolutely. Nice job. A lot of fun.
