Chuck, First, give us the traffic, then we'll talk about while you're still here. I'll do it, as a matter of fact. Thank you, Don. Good Friday morning, everybody. First off, a building fire in West Baltimore. Heavy smoke showing right now and the fire department just arriving, Edmonson Avenue at Poplar Grove Street. So a lot of activity there. Edmondson Avenue will be affected as well as Poplar Grove, both north and south bound. We'll keep you posted on that. We are good to go this morning on the Beltway, all the lanes are open. The inbound JFK is running clear right at the bottom and some overnight construction is still mopping up as you get down towards Fayette Street. Watch out for that building into President Street. You want to stay to the left for the next couple of minutes. Tunnel traffic, no problems at all. And the early check at the capital beltway showing all the lanes open both in Prince George's and Montgomery County. That's your first look. Donna, Marty, back to you. Go ahead and add a vote. So, no, no, no, no. There was a little mix up with Carnival and they've decided to rectify the problem. We're going on the 24th. Okay. Yesterday morning I got up and I had an abscess tooth. Today I got up and I looked like I've been in a fight and your trip got canceled. Well, I canceled it. I see. I see. Okay. The tooth got a problem yesterday morning, which was Thursday. You got you yesterday morning I get home and the president of the cruise line and all of us are on the phone together saying we have a little problem. The ship is sold out. You've been bumped. Okay. Okay. No. So we're going down there on the 24th, which actually worked out better because today I go to Dr. Bergen Forest Hill. You get us a couple more scenarios. I'll be scratching his belly button and let me continue. That's okay. Very good. I assume you get a bigger state room next time around, too. You know, it had a couple of bottles of champagne. I got it. Okay, well, not that to be nice to have you. Yeah. So, Dr. Bergen, for sale said, come on down by one more. Go ahead and say his name one more time. Working for us. The second, during their 40 minutes together, the two men discussed birth control and abortion. The pope never wavered from his staunch opposition to abortion. Health reporter Sandra Pinkney explains. Good morning, everyone. Pollution and smoking cigarets have been known to cause respiratory problems. But did you know that products used to protect your shoes may cause respiratory problems too? It's true. Hundreds of people have visited their doctor who have been rushed to emergency rooms in the last several years after inhaling certain types of shoe sprays. Symptoms can happen as soon as 30 minutes after and up to six hours after patients complain of burning eyes and throat achy muscles, headaches and chills. There's also wheezing, coughing and slurred speech. Water and soil repellents and leather conditioners are the main culprits behind most of the respiratory distress. So if you use protections on your shoes, make sure you spray outdoors. And if you do inhale the fumes and begin to experience symptoms, call your doctor right away.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136701/file/253407#t=3080.52,3181.8"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136701/file/253407/transcript/71548/annotation/32","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"If you have a health related question, write to us in care of doctor's house, call w t. Residents of the city's ocean Shore community right near Johns Hopkins University and Memorial Hospital held a meeting this week in the wake of two recent shootings that have shaken the neighborhood to recent death. Really? Michael Lester. I went to the meeting the other night and says the residents are angry. The meeting seemed a kind of psychological gathering of the wagons in a circle. Two people are killed in the same neighborhood and everybody feels very vulnerable when it happens. In a nice neighborhood like this one, people have a tendency to say, Why am I still living in the city? Why do I put up with such fear? Last night there were police giving tips on urban survival and also politicians who were there to remind people, we can't run away from the city because there's no place to run anymore. Crime is everywhere. And if we don't make all our communities livable city and suburb, then ultimately none will remain livable. It's Oakland Shore and North Baltimore feeling anxious and angry right now, but the geography merely shifts from day to day. For the second time this week, a mix up has surfaced to the city's police department in which police apparently failed to notify the family of the death of a loved one. Last night, Eyewitness News spoke to a Harford County family which did not learn of Michael Young's death until more than a month after it happened. On April 28th. The family had filed a missing persons report with the Harvard County Sheriff's Department a week after he was supposed to be released from a drug rehab center. Baltimore City police found young dead of an overdose one day after he got out of rehab, but no one notified his family. Police say it was a breakdown in communication. The district officer thought homicide to make an application and nobody did. The same explanation they gave for a similar incident, which we talked about on Wednesday when it was revealed police failed to identify an Edgewood man's family of his drug or his death until four days after the fact.
