A Baltimore man accused of killing a 72 year old woman is changing his plea. A judge yesterday allowed Andre Allen to withdraw his guilty plea after he told the judge he was caught in a tug of war with his lawyers. Allen is accused of killing Paul Moffett during a robbery attempt. His plea change came only hours after Danny McGee, Moffitt's nephew, was sentenced to life, plus 20 years for involvement with her murder. A very strange story from Baltimore City police. They say a 16 year old law enforcement explorer Scout stole a police geo tracker, a police radio and uniform, then drove around Baltimore responding to police calls late last night. Police say that he then came back to the central district because its clothes were wrinkled and didn't fit in properly. Officers questioned him because he looked so young and found out what he was doing. The 16 year old is charged with theft and impersonating a police officer. And I was sitting out in the infield under that big oak tree that's no longer there. And faultless came down the stretch, and I was on one side on a grass course and he was on the main course and we ran down together and he won the race. Health Watch reporter Kelly Allen says that what women eat could be putting them at risk. Yes, a new study has come out that says if women eat too much starch, it could increase their risk for breast cancer Richard. For years, experts have debated whether eating too much fat can make a woman more likely to get breast cancer. Now, a study of more than 5000 Italian women suggest eating too many starchy foods and not enough fruits and vegetables could increase the risk. The study, published in the British medical journal Lancet, asks two groups of women, one with breast cancer and another without to recall what they ate. Well, we had some showers about an hour or so ago. South of the city, there's still a risk of some shower activity developing later on. But the next couple of hours, things are dry and not too bad at all. But look for a scattered shower, maybe even some thunder later on. Jim McKay, one of the big wheels in Maryland racing business, was there, along with Governor Parris Glendening, who I am told gave a stirring address and alibi breakfast. The original intent of that's probably gotten lost over the years. Back in the old days before the old clubhouse burned down in 1966. Trainers and owners and jockeys would get together in the clubhouse the day before the race, and they also had sit around informally and give everybody their alibi as to why there was no way they were going to win this race. So if they came up short, they'd have all their excuses in order. And now it's become this big sort of social soiree. Even producer man Mike Pupa was in attendance today.
