It happened to Daddy. He was getting up in age. Right. But. But, Johnny. He was my age. He was doing fine. With was a. Well, I know they didn't look it, man, but they had it. All right. Take me fast. I'm doing fine. Then my doctor said I got it. Look, I have to take pills. I got to change my diet. Oh, man. He laid this awful rap on me about being the number one killer among black males, and I sneaks up on you. That's right. The number one killer. And he says, As of today, I got to change my life. I got to take these pills every day. I got to change my diet. I got to visit him very often and take tests. I'll tell you something, man. I don't understand it. And I'm not ready for this. Hell, I got 300 miles to feed. It don't make sense. It just don't make sense, man. You know, David, some men seem to have two strikes against them from the get go. My daddy was one of them. He put in a 14 hour day, six days a week, just so we could make it through the winter without freezing. Thing is, I'm not going to let that happen to my family. I got plans for raging and old kids going to make it. Hey, they missed a day in school. They hear from me, man. They're going to get an education no matter what cause. Oh, and it's this high blood pressure thing.
