Designed it. Yeah, I know. Janet and I shouldn't have long time ago. So, you know, we know now that we did it work, and I feel so let me get it. We said we had her when we met it. When I turned a camera on. Never saw so much of. If I were. We were right out of bed. We were prepared to, Jack. This is an article from. So these are the history. This is the history basically of the the fire company and the Ladies Auxiliary. Yes. And that's what you called. Yes, the Ladies Auxiliary. And I guess what one of the largest fires that happened, Grace, was the the fireworks blast three years ago. Each of us don't write in here. You don't play around with fire. Well, you know, I think I was just you know, I wasn't just born because I was in the 50s, but. Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. And just keep talking to me just a little bit. There's always going. Like I said. And you'll ever see a friendlier bunch of folks, you know, working hard and serving beer? Celebrate. The last time I was with this group of ladies, they were trying to get their hair done, but now they're all they have to come prepared today because they knew I was coming. It must have been great. But no one's offered me a cup of coffee. She said, Right. The burn. Something that we don't want to do that. Then we get called to the scene for some reason, ma'am. All right. I think I should not do that. That was me. Now, you all just keep talking. I want to get a couple of close up like that, and I'll do that. It was really demanding. I mean, I knew as in drama and didn't really spend time on sky or TV, and, you know, they I bet they in L.A., they did try that for an extra. We don't play out of the room. I'm like, baby, let's just go, right? Yeah. But yeah, my mom may have had this right before. I wanted to break under it at all. And she says, I made you realize we've got to get out. And this is what I've always wanted and nobody wants. But it's it's like five eight. It's just really crazy. The Ladies Auxiliary of the Cesspool says Kahana Hose Company. So what's so funny about that? I don't know why The Ladies Auxiliary and the Susquehanna Hose Company. And now in Baltimore, when when I and I've been to hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of fires in my career. And then we just pour it out and deliver it around to the men. But you're, but you're in other words, all these high tech coffee trucks that that we have in the city. You you you folks have a card table and a coffee box, right? We don't have a vehicle. We use our own vehicles. But the girls bring to the scene to the firehouse, and then we load the vehicles up and take them to the scene and unload them and move the vehicles and start service. Good coffee banks. This is good as I get anywhere. Well, good. Why do you all do that? Because we and Joey going out and serving drinks for our men when they need us. And how long has the group been organized? We started in 1957, so we're about 31, 32 years old. So you've been gone for quite a while? Yes. I had the big fire here. The fireworks factory. Well, any stories about that as far as the ladies are concerned, then? I don't know, because I wasn't living in the habit of grace when that happened. So you have some stories about. I haven't heard any stories on that one. But they were organized and I bet you they were serving coffee. I imagine they were up there and helping to have other people in the community to help them also. You were talking about the movie Backdraft. And you mentioned to me, seeing that movie and you having a son and a husband. What did that do for you? But in other words, the thing that has the impact is when you see those fellows going into the flames and you know what's going to happen with that backdraft when they open that door and that firefly fireflies up in their face. And you know what can happen. It's a frightening experience, especially when you have people involved. And most of the ladies in the auxiliary have people involved in the in the fire companies up here. Yes. Tell me about that. Well, most of them have their husbands and their fathers or sons in the fire company. And we all just tried to pitch in and help everybody when they need us. And judging from the smiles on all those men's faces and some of the women they have got, they appreciate what you do. Yes. After it's all over with, they come up and tell us how much they have really appreciated us being out there to support them and bring them drinks. And that that was I got the call at 1230 in the morning, I believe, for that. For what kind of. No, no. I thought it was 4:00. 4:00. But I got the call 4:00 in the morning. It was hailing when I got there, it was cold. And yet there you go. Round that card table, had that coffee pot and the coffee pot didn't even it was the wire went down to the ground and there wasn't even an extension cord to keep you warm. But it was calm by now. That was small compared to some nights that we've been out. We've been out where we ended up having our hands freeze. And in the cold that was warm to me compared to some nights that I've been out. But you just get on out there and you just get up and wait for the call for the ladies. And then we go. And aside from that, you had the fund raising affairs and you getting ready to do that, aren't you? Yes. We're getting ready to have a pancake breakfast this month, the 20th of February, at the Howard Grace High School. Who's doing the cooking? Well, a little bit of everybody. Some of the ladies, some of the men, just people that we can get to come out and help us. And some are going to cook. Some is going to clean up. Some girls serve it. Are you going to have that good hose company coffee? Yes, sir. We will have good hose company coffee there for you. And if I don't see, how can I? And the little girl that was helping you that night, her name? Denise Liberator. The niece. Liberator. Liberator of the airplane. Liberator. Liberator. Yes. All right. And she's a now she at her father? No, she doesn't have anybody in the fire company. She's just a community lady that wants to help. And we've let. So you see Channel 13 guys up here for any reason covering the story and the coffee cooking where you're off her makeup. Well, sure. Well, maybe even a donut. Sure. William, give them a donut ride. Anything else you can add to what I've been asking you? Anything else that you can you feel is important? Just that we're trying to help the community in every way that we can and stand behind our firefighters whenever they need the Ladies Auxiliary. Now, if you've raised enough funds at some point down. Down and down the road where you could afford a coffee wagon. I mean, a real siren. You know, the whole thing. Who would drive? Not me. I don't know. And I guess it would depend on who would want the responsibility and not have the insurance coverage. Let me ask you this. Would you at some point now or in or in the future, would you would you like to have a coffee with a real bona fide coffee cooking wagon on wheels? Would you?
