It is grisly, tedious work, but the investigators here in Pennsylvania are proceeding about trying to find out what caused U.S. air 427 to crash with the attitude that every piece of wreckage, no matter how small, is important. Crews were back in a ravine northwest of Pittsburgh Saturday, grimly recovering victims as investigators got down to what they call the nitty gritty of finding out why U.S. air 427 plunged from the sky. Rescue workers donned a protective clothing to guard against infection, and some were inoculated against tetanus and hepatitis. Analysts, meanwhile, concentrated on the 737 black boxes that so far have shown nothing out of the ordinary before the pilot declared an emergency. For the people. Well, those of us who are Terps fans, man, we were so excited Maryland got off well Chris, I'll tell you. But it was so terrific. Yeah. Wow. Oh man. For four one half they really did play extremely well. I mean much better than they did last week. But second half was a totally different story and they were just totally shut down. And for a state, you know, defending champions, they're they're going to push it. They're going to just wear you out. Terps have Florida State down at the half for the first time since Florida State joined the ACC. But the second half a wholly different story. The Terps look very like very much like world beaters in the opening drive. 80 yards, ten plays from the eight yard line. Scott Milanovic will shovel the pass to Bryan Underwood. He'll scamper over for the touchdown. Maryland up seven. Nothing. Dufner and the Terps were not done in the first half. In the second quarter, Florida State was leading 1713. Milanovic throws the screen to Roy Simon with blockers ahead. Simon breaks a tackle, dives in for the 33 yard score. Yeah, well, there's always January. Look forward to listen there. Here's what we have going for us right now. There is our updated temperature. 64 degrees is what we're seeing at the moment here. You don't have to go too far, though to get temperatures that are down into the 50s just across the Pennsylvania border up in York County, PA, Harrisburg at 57 and out toward Cumberland at 57. I think most of us will be down in the 50s before too long. Washington still holding up there. A lot of extra hot air down there at 70 degrees, 55 degrees on a beach in Ocean City. Check out the national radar. There were a few showers. It sprung up along the leading edge of this front that passed through yesterday down in the Tidewater area of Virginia, still lingering down in the Norfolk area. They were no threat to us. In fact, hardly a cloud was visible at all in our area during the evening hours. Now, here's how the satellite view shows that weak front that passed through gave us a brief passing shower yesterday, but brought in the reinforcing cool air and notice the general flow of the atmosphere in our area from the northwest and from the southwest, further out to the west. Now we've got a ridge of high pressure that's dominating our part of the world, and that ridge is going to be strong enough to keep the cool air in where we are and fend off the warm air and keep it out in the West.
