Kai? Yo, Pat, it's a crazy story out here. These young kids were inside of their home, minding their business, doing what they were supposed to be doing, and under the supervision of a parents. It all happened just down this street, which is East Berkeley in East Baltimore. Before these kids knew it, they were struck by gunfire. Her name is on Rich. Her mother says for a five year old, she's a very brave child and has a bullet wound in her arm to prove it. Ontario was a few doors down at a friend's house when the commotion started doing, and she was crying. And what happened after that? And then I got shot. And I wonder, were you scared? No. Yes. That's it. My baby got shots in the hot runs in the house that I see in the blood. So that's what I don't want. Now I want one, I want my baby two mil. So what? The cloth. Hold it down by the town police and paramedics. It happened about 3:00 at 1523 Barclay. Police say an unidentified man sitting on the steps of the home was trying to avoid being shot by another unidentified man approaching with a gun. The investigation at this time shows that the two children were inside playing at the time of the shooting, and it's believed that the suspect was, in fact, shooting at someone who was sitting on the steps in front of the location. Five year old Ontario Rex and two year old Kevin Walker were inside of this house playing with other children when the shots rang out, and in the blink of an eye, both children were hit by the gunfire. These children were in their home playing, and the mother thought she would monitor them. She was one room away and something like this. Go on. I mean, what is this coming to? It's just say it's all right, Pat. Sad times indeed. And a couple of questions remain unanswered tonight. First of all, Pat, police still do not know who the suspect is in the shooting. The man who fired the gun, he took off from this area in an unknown direction. They also don't know at this point, the intended victim of this shooting. We don't know that as well. And so police are still trying to piece some of these things together, Pat. And of course, there's a third question. Kai, what are the conditions of the kids at this time? Well, of course, Ontario, who we had in our store, you saw she's doing pretty good, Pat. And in fact, she attends Mildred Monroe Elementary. Her. But her mother tells us she's going to keep her out of school. She won't be going to school tomorrow. But the good news is the prognosis for her arm is very good. She was treated at the hospital. On the other side, two year old Kevin Walker, we understand, is in stable condition at Johns Hopkins Pediatric Center. We'll try and have it update for you later on tonight. One other footnote about this story. Pat, Ontario, Rick's mom. Mary. Rick.
