I say the bikers went to the Capitol to protest mandatory helmet laws. There was an estimated 1000 motorcyclists in Annapolis this afternoon. All of the riders on the bikes today without helmets. They wanted to emphasize their opposition to the mandatory helmet law. The riders say they don't want to be required to wear helmets. They want freedom of choice. Motorcyclists supported a law last year that required only those under 18 to wear a helmet. But the law was vetoed by Governor Lee. They feel they can get another law through the legislature this year. And we have helped get a lot of these same people reelected. And they have they have stuck with us. The legislators said that they would stick with us and fight it right to the brim. And we're just hoping that the new governor of this state will see this and say they want it. All right. Have you talked to either Mr. Bell or Mr. Hughes? At this time, we have not. And we are waiting to see what their stand on it is. We're waiting to hear from them. The bikers believe now is the time to show their strength before the election. They will continue to work for optional headgear. They plan to poll legislators and lobby their opponents. He he gave the Colts some lumps today, too. He was not very kind to the gang from Baltimore. And it was not an enjoyable day at all for the Colts or their quarterback, Bill Troup. Of course, they lost to the Buffalo Bills, 24 to 17 up there. Troup had a bad day passing. But the thing it'll cause nightmares for him is that fumble late in the fourth quarter 2.5 minutes left the Colts fourth and an inch at Buffalo's 14 yard line. Then of course, they went for it. Troup fumbled the ball when it appeared that he had it was hit by one of his linemen, perhaps pulling out to throw a block. But the sound of music and laughter certainly could be heard at Baltimore City's Allan Center today. It was all part of nostalgia day, a salute to the good old days. Tapes of old radio shows and old movies played continuously. Antiques from Baltimore's museums and businesses were on display. It began with a parade from the Inner Harbor. And Mayor William Donald Schaefer spoke about Baltimore's present live in our city. Right now, city health officials are making plans to make sure all city schoolchildren who aren't yet immunized against measles and other childhood diseases get their shots. City Health Commissioner Dr. John De Half told me tonight the teams of health department people will be in the schools giving shots to the boys and girls who missed getting them at this weekend's final clinics. At first, there were plans to keep the children out of school, but that would make the children difficult to locate. So there are plans now to make sure the shots are given. Maryland health officials will go ahead tomorrow with their plan to locate the 100 veterans of foreign war from our state who just returned from their convention in Dallas. They want freedom of choice. Motorcyclists supported a law last year that required only those under 18 to wear a helmet. But the law was vetoed by Governor Lee. Hey, we got some great weather this week, which is really nice for weather. Very normal for this time of year. Believe it or not, our normal high now has dropped down to 71 and our normal low is around 51. So temperatures in that range are quite to be expected this time of year. And that's the way it's going to be most of the week. Let's take a look what's happening right now under mostly fair skies. 58 degrees. That's 14°C. That's about a ten degree drop since the early news. Humidity 60 excuse me, 82% in the wind. Southwest six from here, 30.12in. We've got a lot of clouds over Texas. A cold front, a our system moving down from Canada. Another front behind that. Bring us some more cooler air. It looks like we'll be enjoying this nice fall weather the next five days. There's one frontal system. There's the next one. This one is coming down right now and should be moving across our region during the next 12 to 18 hours. And that'll keep us in the nice, cool fall weather. Temperatures tonight over parts of Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba in the 30s. So there's some chilly air up there, a lot of frost up there. I don't think going to get that cold here. There's a slim chance that we might see some widely scattered frost in the western mountains of Maryland and Pennsylvania on Tuesday night, because once this front moves through, we have some pretty strong, gusty winds tomorrow, up to 25 miles an hour. And as long as you have strong winds, your temperatures don't drop quite as much at night. But once that high pressure over North Dakota moves far enough east, our winds will diminish. That Reece McCall took him to the end zone for a touchdown. As soon as the special teams did that, they got down a little bit.
