It was university hospital people helping to prevent the injuries. With students, including 18 soon to be graduate emergency medical technicians posing as the victims families or parents of victims or just soon to be parents. They're learning how to be a victim, a patient. They'll be treating people, and now they're getting that experience themselves. It'll be a great experience for all of us because most of us might be working in a trauma unit when we graduate from high school this summer. By the way, the accident these injuries were supposed to be from was a bleacher collapse, something they did not bother to simulate. And this is just the staging area, the first of two locations for this drill. From here, all the students will be bus to a hospital emergency room where they will use their fake wounds for a very real purpose. Most of them will come into the emergency room as victims. Many of them will come in to other areas of the hospital as victims or family members are concerned, others, etc.. The idea the idea is we're trying to test our disaster preparedness system by taxing it to its limits to see exactly how it works and to make changes as needed. Something that needed willing victims to pull on and something that will eventually benefit everyone involved here and anyone ever involved in a real medical emergency. Now, when you get ready. Sherry Cooper reportedly walked into the second lodge with a male friend a few days ago. She left in a hearse. It is not clear what happened between then and now, except that someone shot that 29 year old woman in the head and then vanished. At this time, we have no apparent motive. I can tell you that we did find small amounts of cocaine and some drug paraphernalia in the room. The woman was clothed. That woman checked into the account of Lodge with 31 year old Stephen Irving Jones. Police had already been looking for him for failing to appear in court on a different charge. A study out of Loma Linda University in California has shown that eating nuts reduces the risk of heart attacks. Researchers followed the diets of 34,000 people over six years to see who got heart attacks and who didn't. The people who ate nuts at least once a day had only 47% of the risk of a fatal heart attack than those who ate no nuts at all. The researchers aren't sure why nut seem to be good for you, and they didn't specify which nuts are best. And they say it probably has something to do with the type of oils in those nuts. Now, there's a lot more studies, so don't go eating a lot of nuts right now. We'll let you know. Also today, more studies are out on the Battle of the Bulge. She was using birth control, but it failed. Susan found herself in college and pregnant. For her, the choice was clear. She had an abortion. It was my decision. That was what I had to do. I'm a very family oriented person. I love and respect children much too much to bring an unwanted child into the world. I know how much the support and love my family gave me Growing up has meant to me as an adult. And I would never keep that from someone else. 17 years ago, Susan Brink was unmarried and pregnant and made the same choice. She, too, had an abortion. But the experience was so emotionally painful, it changed her. When she became pregnant five years ago. She was still single, but this time she kept the child and has become actively involved in the pro-life movement, including a group called Women Exploited by Abortion. She keeps this bumper sticker on her car. The taking of a human life has of innocent human life has always been called murder, and that has always been under the jurisdiction of government, the law. It has not been in the realm of personal preference. Abortion being legal provides for all choices. It doesn't force anyone to do anything. The government should have no right to force a woman either to carry a pregnancy or to terminate it. With a lot of women, it's not a rational choice. It's a reaction. It's an emotional reaction to pressure. They just want to get out from under that pressure.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136661/file/253379#t=1559.0,1722.11"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/136661/file/253379/transcript/71537/annotation/7","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"But then they have to live with that decision for the rest of their life. And I think now that's changing that more and more. The abortion advocates are going to be on the defensive.
