And it was world hunger that brought Mickey Leland to Ethiopia earlier this week. He died doing the work that meant so much to him. Maryland Congressman Kweisi Mfume served with Leland on the Hunger Committee. He taught us more than anything else to recognize that whether we are dealing with hunger in Ethiopia or in East Baltimore, it is something that we have to focus greater concern on. I was always impressed with the depth of his sincerity and the depth of his dedication. And I love him and I admire him. There is death report from our own area tonight with the gruesome discovery of two bodies in Japantown. Suzanne Collins reports. The dead were two women. Their bodies were found stuffed inside a trash dumpster in the rear of a shopping center. Kris Jenner had quite a surprise when he took out the trash at work last night at Super Fresh in Japantown. It was around 11:00 last night when I was closing up. The store was taking trash out to the dumpster, which was sitting right here. And as an open up the dumpster, I noticed something inside. It really wasn't supposed to be there. Finder looked a little further and found the body of a woman. State police now have the dumpster in their garage for evidence. After going through all the trash, they found a second woman's body. When the trooper arrived, there was a discovery made inside the dumpster in a trash container of two females, one of them believed to be in her 40s, the other believed to be in her 20s. The woman in her mid-twenties weighed about 150 pounds and had short black hair. She was wearing tan pants and a tan top. The woman in her 40s weighed about 175 and had very short black and gray hair and wore a yellow flowered nightgown. Both appear to be Hispanic or American Indian because I thought it was only what I saw was one person in the dumpster, one female. But now they told me it was too. An autopsy showed the women were strangled before being dumped behind the grocery. There is some cooler air trying to move in this part of the country and it will probably only get to the northern Great Lakes, maybe into Pennsylvania and then move to the northeast, away from our region.
