You know, recently at the top of the entertainment news came the story of a fever that has overcome a lot of the young people who've seen the movie Krush Groove. To my knowledge, none of the stories have been exaggerated. What the people wanted was a movie that would feature the artists that all the young people are following today. The producers have given them all they wanted and more. Of course, Groove is the hot music Sound of the Eighties. The fresh new talent on film today. It's the city beat of the city streets and the new forces making the music that drives the rhythm whole. It's the story of a streetwise young man who dreams of building the number one record company by assembling all of the best street singers and musicians that he's hung out with since he was a kid. Using a pseudonym for what's known on the streets as mouthwatering music. He decides to call the record company Crush Groove. However, en route to his success, he becomes entangled in a dangerous love triangle with two of his recording artists who just so happen to be his younger brother and his girlfriend. To sum it all up, Krush Groove is a fresh, high energy street musical starring some of the hottest performing talent in music today, including Kelly KURTIS, Blow, Run-D.M.C., the Fat Boyz n the New Addition. But just a small taste from the smorgasbord of talent. He has Chaka Khan with a tune from the soundtrack plus groove called Can't Stop the Street Ghost After bars come back to your Stop the Grass. Another rap. Another thing is there's no such thing as overkill. Sometimes you need something that's a task to figure out. Is working on your movie Sexy Efforts? Garner gets back a new cachet.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/105641/file/206400#t=45.87,137.97"},{"id":"https://marmia.aviaryplatform.com/collections/948/collection_resources/105641/file/206400/transcript/48965/annotation/2","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"A new sassy baby will go all the way to the very tippy top. That was from the hot new Warner Brothers film Krush Groove called Can't Stop the Street. I would also like to note that the Krush Groove mania has been a product of mass controversy concerning the violent outbreaks in cities all around the country. Nevertheless, the movie has found its place among such street musicals as Flashdance and Purple Rain. Turning our attention to local events around town, we find that Ethel Lynch's Baltimore is own first lady of song. We'll be appearing where else but at Ethel's place. So why don't you make plans to come on down and see why Miss Ennis has become the crown jewel of Baltimore's vocalists when she performs live at Ethel's place, located at 1225 Cathedral Street in the heart of the cultural district. So dates are from November 20th through the 24th and November 27th through December 1st. For further information, we wanted to give Ethel a call at 7277077. Also, Burning Spear will present a Thanksgiving tribute on November 22nd at 8 p.m. at the Dunbar Cultural Arts Center, located at Rolling Street and Central Avenue.
